This place is a terrible disappointment. It looks like they put a lot of money into it, but they just take peoples money and treat them like crap. The crowd is kind of creepy and the service is almost non existent. The worst part is that it is seemingly impossible to win anything. I have never played machines that are so tight. You can put $100 into a dollar slot and hit nothing more than 2 or 5 credits once or twice. The penny machines are almost as bad. Play 60 credits, maybe win 20 credits back every 5 spins. It's boring, insulting and extremely frustrating to play here. We will never go back. We tell everyone we know how bad that place is. The management couldn't be more thrilled that they are raking in incredible profits while devastating their community. I can picture them laughing at all the stupid patrons who fork over their money to them.
Let me say that I had the distinct displeasure of going to Parx Casino this weekend, and every other weekend preceding that. And each time I go, I am more disgusted and feel more of a loser rather than a winner.
Not only is the parking lot a disgrace, with trash littering it, many of the patrons who attend are vile and rude. I even saw a woman vomit into a trash can. where not one of those people in red suits assisted her. I also saw a woman so drunk she relieved herself right on the casino floor in front of everyone. Again, the people in red suits did nothing.
Another thing are the poor condition of the slot machines. Many of them are so broken, you can't maneuver the keys, or the reels delay their spin. Also, these machines are extremely tight, where bonus rounds pay very little or nothing at all, Even on max bets.
Another area are the comps rewarded and promotions. They both royally suck, compared to other casinos in the area. For example, today was a promotion where you were promised to receive 4X slot play by inserting your card in the machine. Well, that never happened. On many occasions, you are invited to enter a promotion, but are never ever rewarded.
When management is approached with a problem, they walk away, rather than address it. They could not care less about their patrons. They only care about making money. On numerous occasions, people who go to this casino either chain smoke in your face, or put their legs on an empty seat to save a non-used machine, Again, these people in red suits do absolutely nothing about it, which is very unfair. Especially, if someone like myself wants to use a machine.
Not only is the weekend DJ awful, getting served a drink is almost non existent. When you call one of the girls over, they either take your order and never come back with your drink, or they walk away from you completely and ignore you.
To me, that's poor customer service. I really hope people really wake up and boycott this foresaken place, or the Casino Commission gets on Parx to either shape up, or close them down.
I don't know about you, but I vote for the latter.
the slots are too tight..have lost nearly 43,000 in the last 2 weeks in 4 visits and the free slot play we get is nothing, $20....what kind of business are they running?...the parx casino looks very good,is close by that's why have stopped going to atlantic city but they are stretching their advantage too far..in due time when people stop coming they will realize....anyway, come on is the casino commisssion people putting a check on the slots here?...god knows
After reading all the reviews about Parx it appears that alot of problem gamblers like to play here. You complain when you put in a $20 and aren't rewarded with a jackpot. The funny thing is some people who complain say they keep coming back even after they report the machines are tight! That isn't a problem? Blame the casino, blame someone else because you keep losing... It's always someone else's fault... the machines, the management, the cocktail waitresses.... grow up
The new 3 Card Poker Pair Plus payoff is a rip off. The house advantage is 7.3% instead of 2.3%! THAT SUCKS! (reason is that it pays 40-30-6-3-1 ... payoff everywhere else is 40-30-6-4-1).
Greedy Parx, we'll keep going to AC - who needs you?
Thanks, Pennsylvania politicians, for allowing your casinos to rip off us PA citizens. You could have matched NJ's payoffs and still raised big revenue. Slowly but surely, more and more PA citizens will realize that you allowed these PA casinos to take advantage of us.
