We play once a month on Wednesday's over 55. From NJ and we get travel allowance free play and free valet. Food is less than adequate--fried, fattening and cholesterol-laden but if you go early the new addition provides a clean fun environment. Have won hand pay and smaller jackpots many times

I started playing at Yonkers casino as soon as they opened. Before that, I was an Atlantic city weekend warrior. What a mistake. I became a daily player at Yonkers and never hit anything to write home about. The comps given here are extremely poor; especially for a person who plays on a daily basis. The security tends to be abusive towards players. If there is a problem and you call on security, they just might ask YOU to leave. It's been a terrible 7 year experience. I had never experience any type of behavior from the staff at resorts world, Atlantic city, Vegas, Mississippi, Reno, Mohegan sun, or Foxwoods. I now attend Resorts world. I enjoy the atmosphere, the music and shows. Although their food and drinks are a bit costly for a casino, I prefer to be treated with respect and courtesy and have a peace of mind. I encourage all, that if they want better, professional service, do not look for it at Yonkers.

Stay far from this place if you value your money at all, you can't win here, take a ride to beautiful conn. Where even if you lose you at least had a better chance in a real casino. This place has filthy bathrooms, poor service by people with poor attitudes, even to valet your car is $10.00 , food sucks, rewards suck, atmosphere sucks . Watch your underwear here you'll lose that too if your not careful!

Was avoiding empiire city because you just couldnt win but i was bored and had to get out of the house and empire is ten min away. So i went. I played my fav slot and in three tries hit jackpot for $152. Then decided to switch to my other fav slot. Played for five hours and kept winning. Played with two hundred walked home with over eight. Even had a nice bonus of over four hundred. What happened? Did they pay up all their bills and they are finally letting us win?

Ok, as a regular I see some off the comments here are spot on and just wanted to confirm. As per Don McNeil, yes, you NEVER want to play the roulette tables without a crowd of people actually playing. I learned this the hard way. It seems the numbers that pop up are the ones you don't pick. The NYS lottery website posts weekly reports of how all casinos run by them take in and pay out. It's terrible that Empire makes millions of dollars a week but after all these years there is no million dollar progressive. Most I have ever seen was about $6th on a penny machine and I doubt anyone actually won before it reset. Now up til today the highest jackpot on there website is for $400K and that is for a wheel of fortune game which is a $5 machine tines 2 credits for a total of $10 per spin. Just awful of you ask me.

Yes, the customer service is terrible. If you money is stuck in a machine prepare to wait wait wait. Only advice I can offer is to hit the service button on a few machines near you if no one is playing in hopes it will get their attention.

Valet parking use to be a nightmare. You would literally wait 20 to 30 minutes in your car on a weekend night just to get you car checked in. Many nights I would just get out of line and park my car myself and just take the shuttle bus. Now they have gotten better since the new renovation. They finally learned that people can drive up and leave their car until an attendant was available to move it while one person watches the cars. Checking out for valet use to be terrible as well but they now have 3 or 4 kiosks if you pay by credit card or comp points and now they have a big screen which shows the status of your car so kudos for that.

All in all, if you want to win big money, don't go to Empire City. Go to AC or CT in fact Mohegan sun has a special if you show them your empire city card they will comp you $100 for first time members only. It's on a big billboard across the street from Empire City. Lol. Personally I only go for fun and it's 5 minutes from my home in Yonkers. HAVE FUN AND REMEMBER ITS JUST A GAME!
