I like soaring eagle and its beautiful however I went there in sept and it wasn't even fun. After driving 2 hrs each way I lost $600 and didn't get anything to play. Played the $1 and $5 slots and none would do anything or even give me anything to play. I don't know if they made machines more tight or what because most of the times before I would win but not that time, I was in an out in 45 minutes.very disappointed. It will be quite awhile before I go again there!
I have been a customer at The Soaring Eagle Casino for a few years now. Simply stated this is a ' Truly Awesome and Professional Casino. This casino is Professional and Superior in every aspect of the casino. The Slot Play here is Superior. The Gaming Floor is Huge and So Exciting ! The hotel here is clean, spacious and just plainly breathtaking. I stayed in a suite here for two nights and it was Wonderful ! The staff at Soaring Eagle are Professional , Polite and So Accomodating to the casino customer. The restaurants at Soaring Eagle are Top Rate. Soaring Eagle is a Exciting and Fantastic Casino Experience--which I would personally recommend to any and all casino customer !
EVERY YEAR SINCE THE NEW SOARING EAGLE CASINO AND RESORT WAS BUILT, MY GIRLFRIEND AND I PLAN OUR TRIP TO THE CASINO. WE ALWAYS GO THE MONTH OF HER BDAY. WE ALWAYS STAY 2-3 DAYS. WE GET GREAT COMPS FOR OUR RMS. THIS PAST YR., WE EACH GOT 2 FREE NITES WHICH IS GREAT. THE HOTEL STAFF IS FRIENDLY. ABOUT 2 YRS AGO THEY DID A REMODEL AND TOOK THE MACHINES I LIKE TO PLAY AND PUT IN LEGENDS RESTAURANT AND PUT THE MACHINES IN ANOTHER PART OF THE CASINO, I USED TO HIT ONE OR TWO JACKPOTS WHEN THEY WERE WHERE LEGENDS IS NOW. NOW I MIGHT WALK AWAY FROM THE CASINO WITH MONEY TO GET ME HOME. IF I'M LUCKY. THEY HAVE TIGHTENED UP THE MACHINES. THE ONLY THING WE CANT UNDERSTAND. THERE ARE 3 PEOPLE THAT KEEP WINNING BIG BUCKS FOR DAYS EVEN MONTHS. AND IF MY CALCULATIONS ARE RIGHT THESE PEOPLE HAVE WON OVER 200,000. SO FOR THAT REASON MY GIRLFRIEND AND I HAVE TO DECIDE IF WE WANT TO GO BACK NEXT YR. THEY ALSO STOPPED SERVING BREAKFAST AT THE BUFFET. SO NOW IF YOU WANT BREAKFAST, GO EAT AT LEGENDS. THE FOOD IS OK, NOT TO PRICEY. AND IF YOU DONT GO AT LEAST EVERY 6 MONTHS,(JANUARY + JULY THEY TAKE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE EARNED ON YOUR CARD). WHICH I'M HOPING THEY CHANGE IT BACK TO ONCE A YR.
My wife and I have been donating our money to the Chippewa's for the last 6 years since 2007.The slots have always been tight but in the last two years the slots have been impossible to win any large amounts unless you are a tribal member. My wife and I have noticed that there have been a disproportionate number of tribal members winning large jackpots in that casino. The tribal members seem to know what machine and when it will pay off.We noticed also that a large number of tribal members stopped coming in the casino to gamble about the time the slots really got tight. We also concluded since those machines are nothing more than computers it wouldn't be that difficult to code a tribal members players club card to activate a winning cycle.Since this new CEO took over, the casino has gotten stingier on the comps. We don't get the food credits even though I am at the really stupid level(platinum) and my wife is at a stupid level(gold)and they only give the players club credits for free play twice a month instead of the four times per month. We will not be donating anymore money to the "Chippewa we hate all races but ours" fund. We've even tried the Chippewa casinos in St. Ignace and Sault Ste Marie. The Chippewas are so arrogant and they treat people that aren't tribal members with contempt. They forget who funds their tribal monthly checks. We do!!!!!!I'm half Cherokee and I think that the way these Chippewas treat the customers that aren't tribal members is disgusting. They have so many tribal members receiving monthly checks (and a lot of them don't even look like they're native american) that they apparently can't afford to loosen up the slots for a decent payout.
Be sure you are aware of the changes in players club benefits before you go. They changed as of October 1, and went from bad to worse. Let's put it this way, from now on I'll be doing my gambling in Ohio and West Virginia instead of at the casino 17 miles from my house.
The restaurants have become terrible, very little selection, outrageous prices. The air circulation sucks, which means the place always reeks of cigarette smoke. You can find a better selection of slots at almost any casino. The visible staff is actually usually pretty good, but upper level management is a joke. If the hotel were under $100 a night, it would be an acceptable place to stay, but I personally wouldn't pay the price they're asking for a room. The place is also overrun with children, which to me is unacceptable for a gambling establishment.
