I loved going to Live, but once Cornish Group started the new hotel, every thing changed....slots for some reason had to have been reset because you had previously been able to play for a while until you lost your money, now you can't even play it takes your money....very quickly. I have watched the people that have been able to hit a few machines and most play the max, that most of us can't afford, they do not play with a players card, it seems the player card has your money disappear faster then without. The staff is not as friendly and the garage security is a joke....left there the other evening, security in a cart looking at his phone not aware of any patrons leaving elevator garage, I sat in my car and watched him for 7 minutes and he never looked around site or cars... the Cornish Group has lost all my respect for the "robbery" of the clients....most go knowing that they will lose, but sure would like to have a few hours of enjoyment. The overhead announcement of " another jackpot has just been won" has gone down about 75%....since fall of 2017....going to try new casino!!!!
$25 dollars slot machine jackpot paid $1,200. Lowest payout percentage I have ever experienced in my life. High limit slots are set so low. Wasted my time, money, and not going back to Live. You just lost another high limit player.
The hardest casino I have been to in the USA and Canada to win at pennies thru dollars slots, especially the dollars one, they NEVER pay out, STAY WAY FRO THIS PLACE UNLESS u LIKE TO LOOSE ALL YOU MONEY. This casino does not even give U a chance to win your money back, and if U win a few bucks get out of this casino. Also you never win twice in a row like Vega, even if is is 2 pennies you never win until they taken what you won from U. STAY AWAY THIS IS A COFFER FOR THE STATE OF MD TO STEAL YOU MONEY!!!!
Most people will love the casino for its restaurants, Buffet, and location. For those of us that are Maryland residents, taxpayers, and who voted to bring the casino in that promised to improve schools, roads and offer career opportunities; are disappointed beyond measure. Those of us that frequent the casino and love playing the slots are finding that the machines are very, very tight and by the time you win a jackpot; you haven't even recouped the money the machines have collected over time. The gaming commission and the state of Maryland should be ashamed at how they are gouging its patrons and how they are punishing those that do not play even more often than they can afford. They remove and decrease promotional rewards if its card holders do not or can not afford to play during the weeks and months. They decrease rewards if you do not invest thousands during the month. They collect on holidays and there are never winners during those long weekends. One of my roadies lost her job 3-years ago and could not afford to bet the max on her favorite slots. When she had to choose between medicines, food, and paying household bills, she chose to opt out of homelessness. Maryland Live rewarded her by downgrading her platinum card to gold, decreasing her free play coins from $75 to $15 or $0; and eliminating her food credits. She has not hit a substantial jackpot at Maryland Live in 3-years and we frequent the casino every weekend. I should have had a Black Card by now - but because I'm spending thousands and not millions - I don't qualify..smh.
Unlike its competitors, Maryland Live does not set it's slot machines to payout. The slots are very, very, very tight. You can sit and feed the machines for hours, playing the max, only to discover that they are set on "collect." No matter what time of day, whether its weekdays or weekends, Maryland Live slots do not payout. The bonuses are rare and when you are lucky enough to get 20 bonus spins; they pay $4, $6 with no combinations that would pay a couple of hundred and additional bonuses are rare as well. I have had 42 bonus spins and the machine did not payout $60. I've watch a black card hold get over 400 bonus spins and only got $60. How is that possible? Is this coincidental for a "cash cow" that collects $50 million dollar a month - I doubt it. With their junior, giant jackpots, and annoying recording of so called "another jackpot winner...so keep play,” we; the patrons, have concluded that it’s a recorded lie. The lack of wins has taken the fun out of playing the slots for me. The complaints are the same all over the casino - slots don't payout, serve sucks and beverages are as hard to get as wins on the slots. There's a period of time when the beverage servers disappear for hours.
Maryland Live is the worst thing that has happened to the state of Maryland. I regret voting to bringing that casino to this great State. Even though I doubt that I'll be missed because the casino has a lot of suckers like me...I can't wait for MGM to open. Until then - my roadies and I will not be setting foot back in Maryland Live so I guess when they realize that I haven't been there just giving them my hard earned money - I can expect my status to be downgraded as well.
I played on a table I hit with quarters on inside. Then my buddy pulled 75 off a 1 and 12 for me " my winnings " they waited a hour and called mall security for the money he took for me and forced him to pay the casino 75 or they would call the cops. We asked to see the videos more than 10 times and they resfused ! Being military we didn't need the attention so we paid them. Mind you my winnings ! He was charged because he didn't place the bid. And they refused to show us the videos ! Not worth the hassle , never going again. Slots are a cheat and the security was accusing me at first of taking my money ! Then changed their minds and charged him , because it was my money ! The tall bald white guy " security " dared to accuse me and then told me I would be in trouble ! After being denied the videos we decided to walk away . avoid this scam. Never ever again ,threw my players card away in their face .. Disrespectful , false accusations , full of actual crooks
