I have sent them THREE e-mails with a simple question about the types of keno machines they have. It has been over seven days and they can't be bothered to answer me. So I won't be bothered to go and give them my money.
My wife and I are doing 16 out of 17 straight weekends of gambling. We usually alternate between Oneida in Green Bay and Potawatomi in Milwaukee because we are centrally located from both places and my affinity for craps. Oneida is a clean modern place that always has the $5 min. craps tables I want. Oneida doesn't send us monthly bonuses like Potawatomi does but their points payouts are ok. It only takes 750 pts to get a free buffet which isn't bad. I think the buffet food is above average. If the wife and I aren't hungry enough for the buffet, we get an asian dish at the noodle bar. You get a 10% discount for showing your club card and we both can fill up pretty good for well under $20. And you get your food quick. The wife has her favorite slots scouted out and generally does well at them. I am ahead at the craps tables. The craps tables crews are always decent but I wouldn't mind a little more recognition since I play there every other week. (same at Potawatami) They should know me by now. I believe I heard that Oneida has changed how they give out player bonuses from being based on a 90 day period to a 30 day one so time will tell if we start receiving bonuses comparable to Potawatomi.
Oneida Casino is probably the best the area has to offer. But that's not saying much. Average selection of slots, perhaps a bit below selection of table games. The casino is generally clean and everything is ok. However, comps are as close to non-existent as you can get. I played and lost $2k last month and received $5 in freeplay and $5 in food. That's like leaving a 25 cent tip for a waitress imo. Insulting!
My wife and I have visited this casino 4-5 times in the last year and we are not going back. The machines have been screwed down so there is literally no payout. One can put $10 in a couple of machines, and in 2 minutes you are out of plays and have won nothing at all. Looks to me like they are trying to pay for the place in a short time. The casino payouts use to be a little better but lately there is no reason to go there, as Wisconsin has some better places to gamble. Also, the food is lousy and buffet is not fit to eat either. The place smells of smoke and the machines are really close together. In addition, the drinks are very expensive.
I must say in all the years I have gambled at this casino, I have never, ever seen such a cheap casino. The paybacks are pathetic, and if they do, you make $2 on a 15 spin bonus on a penny machine. Bonuses are meant not only for entertainment, yet you would think they would find in in their hearts to keep their patrons happy by at least paying THREE DOLLARS at times! A lot of player's favorites are not available anymore...they have been replaced with crappy machines that no one plays, except when it is the weekend and there are no other machines to play. I am beginning to think they consider a jackpot $100. It is ridiculous...they also have rude employees that smirk and laugh at you while you are playing. They fail to remember that without us losing our money in their smoke-filled, negative establishment, they would not have jobs. As far as the hotel, I have only stayed there once so I would have to say it is alright. The business center is nice and quiet, although if you are not a guest you need a key to access it. The buffet is decent, but not as good as some of the buffets in Vegas, Ho Chunks buffet or Mystic Lake's buffet, which is in Prior Lake, Minnesota. Over the years, their player's club has gotten better, but they still have a long way to go. In conclusion, if they got their heads on straight, called for better paybacks on the machines and hired more considerate dealers and other employees. everyone would be happier.
