I can't believe some of the negative reviews I'm reading. We moved to Texas 4 years ago and have been going to Choctaw Durant for 3 years. What more would these people want. This place is amazing, we win every time we play on slots. You can't spend 30 cents on a machine and expect to win thousands. Our rooms have always been immaculate. The pools and the restaurants and the whole casino is so clean. It is such a nice break when you stay three days like we do to go to a movie or the spa or lay around the pool. We recently went to Lake Charles Louisiana just to see the casinos. We left after one day. Go ahead, go to Louisiana and see what your experience is like. Oh and be sure you pay close attention to the customer service....there is none. When you go to eat or do anything, they act like they're doing you a favor to wait on you. I will never gamble anywhere but Choctaw Durant, so you people that gave negative reviews, maybe you should go to other casinos and see how they take care of you. Choctaw Durant is in my mind a Vegas equal casino. We love it there. P.S. we've been gambling for over 40 years and we both hit our biggest jackpots ever at Choctaw Durant.
Pay tables on video poker are outstanding, the best in Oklahoma. Jacks or better pays 9 on a full house and 6 on a flush, which along with the other standard payouts equals a 99.5% return on your gambling dollars. You do have to pay $0.50 to get this return, but if you bring enough $ in case of a bad start, those are VERY good odds. I have found only one other casino in OK with 9/6: the little Buffalo Run in Miami, although at Buffalo Run you can get these odds on single quarter play. And Choctaw Durant machines are progressive, meaning an even higher return on max bet (which Buffalo Run doesn't offer). In contrast, the Grand in Shawnee pays 8/6, Fire Lake in Norman 9/5, Downstream in Quapaw 8/5, and the Winstar a miserable 7/5! Of course, video poker is a game of skill, and the casino counts on you not making optimal plays, but if you are well versed on the game, Choctaw Durant and Buffalo Run are the places for you. We've dined at three restaurants so far: the grill, the buffet and Smashburger were all quite good for dining of their respective types. We were comped a free room, and found it clean and comfortable. (The comps are earned by my wife, who plays video keno. You'll never get good comps playing video poker; the casinos want you playing the more profitable [for the house] slots.)
Choctaw Durant casino and resort is the only casino I play at i love the energy and environment very well maintained.slot machines pay out pretty well along with the tables. If gambling is not your thing or you have kids with you they have arcade room movies bowling pool and more things to enjoy I choose Choctaw Durant casino over winstar casino every time for Oklahoma casinos. So I'm just putting out my experience with Choctaw casino but you take a chance at any casino is rather spend where I'm welcomed and treated with care plus winning isn't short it's pretty good.Speaking for myself not all sorry if you had a bad experience.
The United States gaming commission needs to pull Choctaw Casino license. That casino continues to manipulate the slot machines to where they will not give you bonus rounds or a worker will come by and insert their card to shut down that particular machine or row, their machine skips spins you are more likely to win if you're anything other than African American the payouts for the jackpots or three times less than what they wore the previous years. It's they're Crooks if they're not going to give the money away in winnings to the Patriots that patronize their business then they need to give it to the federal government for non-compliance of the gambling laws
I paid almost $400 dollars for 1 night at the Choctaw Inn. The television in the room was only like 27 inches, the room was not clean(trash from previous guest),no shower curtain, only sheets on the bed no blankets or comforter. I was extremely disappointed for 400 bucks. And when i expressed my displeasure to the manager, i was told that i should have stayed in the main hotel.
