We used to go to this boat in Elgin all the time, we went last night me and my wife after not being there for a for couple years and I've never been so disappointed in my life. It used to be the funnest coolest place but not anymore. We used to always play the quarter machines and we could not find one quarter machine in the whole darn place. They've got rid of most of the old style machines and put all of them stupid video machines in with 100 buttons that you can't figure out. So we did a stick with playing the dollar machines and we played and played and played in won absolutely nothing. They don't have machines downstairs gambling like they used to either. One of igt's biggest success was the wheel of fortune, not one to be found. Nothing but the new stupid video machines with 100 buttons on each machine, they sure have went downhill since we was up there. We both walked out of there very depressed because we used to make money there and have a lot a lot of fun but not anymore. I'll never go there again, and I advise anybody else to stay away from the place it's a bummer.

While the boat does have issues this boat has the best video poker in Chicago for pay tables and options.

Terrible in General
I guess if you live by it maybe it wouldn’t be so bad but don’t make a drive to it. I live in Wisconsin and the casinos up here are ALOT better. The machines are nicer, I can get my own drink if I want to and service is better in my opinion. I’m not writing this review because I lost but because the overall place in general is not as good as Potawatomi or ho-chunk. They have more places to eat and a better players club, the gift for signing up with them sucks also compared to Potawatomi, which I realize they are a lot bigger but still.

I live close and visit this casino often. More often to just test the waters. For several years it has been tight, but as of late the machines are DEAD. Do not go there to gamble because you will surely regret it. Not sour grapes but the truth. Years ago this casino knew how to give a little to make a little, you saw jack pots on occasion. Today there are only one or two floor people working so if you win they are as surprised as you will be. Rumor has it that they are to be bought out. This may explain why this casino is grabbing what they can while they can. The parking lot used to be full as well as the parking deck. Now they are lucky if they have 50 people playing any weekday. Now I'm not talking about penny games, I refer to $1-5 machines.
Their buffet is medium, good steak house, machines need maintenance (they stick). I have had many great days there but not for several years now. I used to see huge jack pots, now they get excited with $1200. Pitiful is all I can say.
My word to the wise is go to a nice dinner show, concert or night in the city but stay away from this money pit and remember my words.
Best of Luck from one who knows.
