If you go to play the slots, then assume you are going to lose and quickly. In the past this casino has been passable, but since a remodel and spending money on new garage the payback has gone from lousy to near nothing. It is possible to spend three hundred dollars, 50 cents at a time and never hit a bonus and lose so quickly you head will spin. On occasion they allow some winning but the time will pass in about 20 minutes and your back to losing.

If you would like to win money, dont play the slots because they are specifically set not to payback fast and when they do payback its assured you are still not even. The bonuses are nearly zip, in fact several times I got bonuses that were in fact NOTHING. The higher you bet the more chance you have but still that's about 1 in 200 of getting even because these are the tightest slots in western washington. They have altered some machines to never payout bonuses so if you think its a matter of time, forget it, you will never win on that machine.

I need to respond to the previous review. Let's be realistic, as CJ suggests. Slots are a zero-sum game. You will lose. Maybe you can win 1 out of 6 times, but you are not walking out ahead. I would hope that all slot players have figured out that they cannot quit their day jobs to play at tribal casinos. The problem with the Clearwater is that they have a terrible payback rate as compared to other local casinos. This means that I pay an hourly rate for my gambling entertainment of 2 1/2 times the average of other casinos within a 90 minute drive of the Clearwater. I believe there are two possible reasons why: 1. the casino has set their slots at 82-87% payback to pay for their new construction and tribal funds, and/or 2. the casino aggressively advertises their large number of slot jackpots. Either way, it's pretty safe to assume that low and mid-level slot players are screwed. As in screwed more than average.
Yes, the staff is friendly, the place is clean and bright, but it is costing more for the visit every time. I have had many more bonus games, big wins, and greetings from the staff at the nearby Point Casino. I'm not a schill--you will lose money wherever and whenever you go, but you can do better for your gambling dollar elsewhere.

This is a medium sized casino with approximately 1,000 plus machines. The problem is there is little variety. The casino appears large but the machines are repeated all over the place. We have been in small casinos with better variety. You rarely heard anyone winning and when they did get a bonus it did not pay much. The buffet was good but average with nothing unusual. It is a clean casino with clean restrooms which is a plus. Staff is friendly. Smoking is allow and it is not too bad. All in all, if you are in the area, I would stop, maybe you will be lucky.

This casino is located right next to Bainbridge Island which also happens to be where I live. On the other hand, the percentage of slot payoffs are fickle. Every Indian reservation here in the state of Washington, has complete control on the percentage of payouts per their Class 2 machines(Bingo Cards, Scratch Offs and Pull Tabs, all connected to high tech computer servers). I have found it impossible to win at this casino on consecutive visits. As a Clearwater club member I do receive both food comp and cash back according to my play, and I play a lot. Unfortunately, you can go through 800 bucks and only acquire enough points for Eight Dollars. As for free slot play... The farther away you live, the more free slot play you will receive. The Hosts and Executive Hosts in both the Players Club and VIP, are both kind and understanding. Yet, they are limited by the higher ups, regarding; promotions, trips, and especially free slot play for clients like myself.

As for Food and Drink. All I can say on this issue, is that the Chiefs would be wise to talk with McDonald's,Pizza Hut or any other national brand.

I have heard that in years past the slot payout percentages where even tighter than today. What the payouts will be tomorrow...only the Chiefs know.
