This is without a doubt the worst paying casino in existence! Took $500 and thought it would last for a while but sorely disappointed. Ate at the buffet and even though it has improved still below Mt. Airy buffet. Now to the comps---also very bad. You would think they would offer better ones to keep people coming back but far from it, very stingy. One of the main reasons you can't build up any comp points is due to the slot machines. 99% of the time you put in $20, $50 or so and it last maybe 5, 10 and if you're lucky 15 minutes so as I said you can't get any comp points. The places they have to eat (besides the buffet) are good, especially like Molly O'Sheas. Seems they cater to the rich but should realize if it weren't for the little people like us they would be OUT of business. Try any place but here.
Being an avid slot player, I realize that by bringing 300 dollars to play with that chances are I will lose it. I just don't expect to lose it all in under an hour. I play penny slots with an average bet of 60 cents. I would like a bit more "playtime" for my money. I have tried to have playtime during this past summer of 2014. It was the WORST yet. I just don't see how the average slot player can afford to keep coming to this place. The last time I was there was Labor Day. Only brought 100 dollars. Out the door in twenty minutes. Noticed many grim, unhappy, faces on clientele. Not too crowded for a Holiday either. Maybe the "locals" who keep the place afloat are finally rebelling against this MOST INSULTING excuse for a casino. Their "Players Club" is laughable.
The first time I went was when it first opened in 2006 and do not recall much about it. However, this time last week I noticed construction for a hotel. As for the gaming atmosphere I found it pleasurable depending on which video poker machine you can find and play. It is bad enough to not find a 9/6 Jacks of Better poker machine they do not even give you an 8/5 machine. Give me a break here!! There are not enough Pick'em Poker; did not see one Double Down Stud. The payouts on the Deuces Wild were not good either. Most of the Jacks and Better video poker machines were of 6/5 variety; absolutely horrible. Give the player an even chance.
The old Casino was much better than the new. There you had 9-6 payouts on the video poker. The new Casino has only 6-5. Not much of a chance to win. Forget about the penny slots all together. Must say I do like Mohegan Suns in Conn.
