costomer service was terrible, the security was rude, The beverages was only one station, and no one came around to offer anyone a beverage on the slots. We will never be back!!!!
Since the new owners took over in the summer of 2011 the casino has not been good! The gaming is so tight you might as well give your money to the security officer at the door and leave! Not a dime to play on. Staff is rude! No smiles here! Poor customer service. Take the drive to Catfish Bend in Burlington IA. Not a big casino but at least I played all night on my money! My partner won $1,300 using one machine all night. Put it this way folks, there are much better choices than this place!
We had our wedding reception at Jumer's on January 14th 2012. The security staff went out of their way to harass our guests and not allow them in the casino. They were asking people waiting to get in if they had been at the wedding reception, then would turn them away. I was the Groom and was treated horrible by the staff, as were members of our families, including the Father of the Bride. 2 of our uncles who do not even drink were told they were too intoxicated to enter, and even a pregnant Aunt was hassled. We had members of our wedding party treated so bad that they checked out of the hotel and left. It has almost been a month and Jumer's has still done nothing, even though dozens of people left comment cards, emailed and called them to complain. Do not have your wedding reception here. We did however enjoy the bed in the room.
I have been traveling 135 miles, one way, to Jumers once a month for over 15 years. When they built their new property I was delighted to stay in the new hotel as a comp. I could gamble longer and spread the trip out. Then the summer of 2011 they sold the property to Delaware North. I still received a monthly free room comp. January 2012 arrived and I received no room comp. Guess I won't be going back.
What a great place - take some time to experience this jewel. I can't say enough about how clean this place is and how well they maintain it. My husband and I spent 2 nights and had a great time, the rooms are a must see. Monday is double points and we were able to get in on that, plus use our points to gamble or take the cash. I decided to save some of my points for a Starbucks - how great is that? I hope the folks at this Casino continue the great work they put in to it.
