When you first opened, we drove down to try the casino and lunch. I see that you are the only casino that I have been to that charges for valet parking. We have been going to casino's in Vegas, Atlantic city, Canada and all over Michigan for over 37 years and have never paid for valet parking. We thought we would try you again but your website shows that you still charge for valet parking plus a decent tip. It is not the money, it is the principle that will keep us away.

Epic Buffet is great, especially the $15.99 Sunday Brunch from 11am-4pm EST. However, the slots are deceiving with payouts. Table game minimums are way too high. If you hit on a pay line like I did on Sunday, September 14 at 6:15pm (three red 7's on center pay line for 100 credits on a 25cent slot), management says there is nothing they can do. They don't take care of you like MGM does in Detroit. Horrible Customer Service. I do not recommend this casino.

I live less than a mile from the casino and I LOVE casinos, but this one is off to a really slow start. The food is overpriced for the area ($58 steak)as are the drinks ($4.27 domestic beer, $9.50 daquiri), the comp program isn't really worth having your every move tracked since you're not going to get a free meal or hotel room, and the slots started out pretty tight. They seem to loosen up every once in a while, but I think they are aiming for pooling the money into more large jackpots (for publicity) than spreading the winning around to more people with smaller payouts. This equals more losing.

My suggestions are a dance club or louder music or slot tournaments or SOMETHING to liven this place up. Drink specials/happy hours would help to keep people in there drinking and gambling instead of having them for the local bars 1/3 mile away to get $1.50 beers.

To be competitive with the FUN Michigan casinos that have plenty of entertainment, hotels, and cheaper drinks, Hollywood is really going to have to step up their game!

Like most the comments this was our first and last visit to this place. I am a non-smoker, but my wife smokes (hot!) We stopped by to be attacked by the nicotine nazis demanding she extinguish her social-program supporting, over-taxed swag (I say nicotine nazi because Adolf Hitler was the first government official in history to spend public money on anti-smoking campaigns...look it up). I now regret that move. That 50 cent cig provided more enjoyment to this carnival tent disguised as a "casino". After watching decades old bar after bar fold up in Michigan after the adoption of its smoking ban, I always get a kick out of these fun governors who applaud these bans and then never support those ill-fated businesses. And when they do, according to my server, bar tender, and pub owner friends, stay for 5 minutes, fill their rugrats face with chicken strips and pop, leave their 12% tip, and disappear by 9:00...all so a bunch of nanny state ninnys can feel powerful...Ok enough of that rant. This place feels put on, and as stated by others, pays out like c..p! It would have been nice to lose my money while enjoying my $20 cigar i packed to enjoy at the bar, but no such luck. We rebounded by jumping in the car and getting to Greektown Casino in Detroit by 11:00. My wife enjoyed a smoke, I enjoyed a cigar, we won over 80 bucks at the bar on video poker and decided to leave more money with the hotel for a room that night. I then find out today that smokers need not apply, and workers at Hollyweird Casino are actually tested for nicotine?! They are denied employment for engaging in a legal activity, which is taxed to the max. So an industry which promotes people losing their mortgage money, drinking like a village idiot, is going to draw the line on smoking. Really? It took until 2012 but we have finally reached 1984 (as defined by Orwell). Good luck all you healthy buckeyes! I am going to stay in Detroit where you can still gamble like a grown up.
