This casino has gotten a major facelift since I was there over 10 years ago. Mostly newer games, however there are 4 PINBALL machines ( I hit multiple times for really good money with the $9 x 1. These particular PINBALL machines are not set up the way most are. Be very careful with the buttons, the slightest breeze and you will accidentally bet$45 a roll or more).
There are 2 Free coffee, water, soda machine stations.
This is not an overly medium sized casino. Very nice layout. Not everything in rows. You have more than enough room to find a corner or “room” to feel like nobody is on top of you or you can do the opposite and find a space with more activity if so desired.
Bathrooms as well as the casino floor are well maintained and are clean. There are spots that are comfortably dimly lit and other spots that are cheery. There casinos is non-smoking but the outside smoking areas are well maintained and easily accessible.
My MAJOR CON:
Every single “security “ individual looks like they are a volunteer from the Shady Pines old folks home or ( please forgive my lack of tact) look like they are a blob that Chet from weird Science turned into.
Cash out machines are all facing open to the floor, your cash out total screen is very bright and easily read. We used one of the machines instead of going to the cashier for a $1200 dollar go home cash out and There were dodgy individuals loitering that first followed then waited after I stalled and went to the ladies room, in the main entrance that had nobody else there, it’s completely closed off from any security. Both my husband and I felt that something was off and luckily we used our “code” doubled back. It was a very odd situation, hard to describe. We were there at around midnight. The parking lot is dim and has no security at night.
I don’t think this should be a reason not to go but if you are there at night, especially women, please be aware of your surroundings.

I'd like to offer my advice. When you walk in don't sit right away, instead take a stroll around the place. Go get a coffee and just LISTEN. I'm going to bet that you will not hear any payouts being paid out over the intercom system. That is because this casino is extremely tight. Usually the progressive payout is at a standstill, if it is... Take the hint, and get out while you are ahead. There is a chance that when you visit that it may be track season, or tax refund time where the slots might be loosened up a tiny bit. Still, I urge you to look and listen before you play. They normally announce winners when the place is packed and progressives are on the move, but goodluck strolling in on one of those days. Another thing I would like to mention is that the horse racing in Saratoga should be stopped until a method of action is implemented and race horses stop dropping dead in Saratoga. Look it up, and do something to put an end to the abuse. It's out of control, they have said they would do something but the number has grown since then.

When you walk in you're "greeted" by the smell of musty, dirty carpet and an unfriendly security guard who can't even muster a grin. The machines are filthy: sticky buttons, empty drink cups, stained chairs, a virtual science experiment. Bathrooms are worse. Buffet is a high priced joke, analogous to the Vegas vacation movie. Food is best termed as slop. Now to the slots: tightest on the continent. After plugging in over $100 on a penny machine, finally 12 free spins came up. My winnings on that foray: 18 cents! Stay away, it's like a bad movie.

I've played here since I started I used to be able to stay up here for a whole night playing the slots and walk out with money now I barely win but I have to say I love Saratoga better than rivers and turningstone won a lot more.
