This is one of the better casinos in Atlantic City. It's not on the Boardwalk, but in the Marina district. They do have a shuttle for hotel guests and Total Reward Platinum and Diamond members to take to one of their sister casinos on the Boardwalk, but it is usually full and doesn't run consistently. So I usually pay the $2.25 for the jitney which comes extremely often.

The casino has decent blackjack, and even $5 tables weekday mornings. Decent, but not full-pay, video poker. They could hire a few more people for the Total Rewards desk. The Pool is nice and doesn't allow anyone under 21 (a plus). They do have a family pool somewhere, but I've never gone looking for it. The buffet is expensive but worth the price. And one of the few places in town where the dealers have personalities and are pleasant.

In Atlantic City, I definitely prefer the casinos in the Marina. Harrah's has a good selection of games and a variety of restaurants to choose from, including a food court to get something quick. Lately, it seems that the "college-age party crowd" arrives on Friday evening and departs on Sunday. Therefore, it is not the quietest place on the weekends! The rooms are fine but not as nice as the neighboring Borgata.

My wife and I have been going to Harrah's ac for about 15 years. We find the best thing about this casino is the employees. The Diamond Club's food has slipped, but it's nice being recognized and given good service. The hostesses are very accommodating. One that stands out is "Magda." I'd recommend this casino to anyone even after trying many others.

I stayed at Harrah's a few years ago and I liked the place.

The rooms were nicer than the Showboat, but they don't have any decent video poker. I believe there are only two $1 9/6 Jacks or Better machines in the entire casino

As far as being stranded, there is now a free shuttle among all of the Harrah's properties. All you have to do is show your player's club card and you can get a free ride to the other Harrah's properties on the Boardwalk: Caesars, Showboat and Bally's
