I have played and eaten at the 4 Queens quite a few times. The food at the Magnolia Cafe is always good and a great value. They have great VP even at a .05 level. This trip my youngest son will be enjoying this. The cocktail service is good and friendly. I once played at a giant VP machine, I don't think they have it anymore but it was a lot of fun. As you walk in you can take a quick spin on the $ queens slot and maybe win a lot. It is old Vegas as its best. Hope you enjoy.

Fremont Street No Frills Review

Four Queens

I absolutely love this place. I visited for the first time in January and received a free ace card for blackjack, and a $10 match play voucher. My wife & I won on both! My wife also had $10 free slot play, and turned it into a quick $90 on the new Ghostbuster’s machine. Very friendly staff at Four Queens, and a good place to spend time and gamble. Four Queens screams “classic Las Vegas” and is a staple to Fremont Street.

I happen to be paralyzed and in a wheelchair, but fly out several times a year to enjoy Downtown Vegas which for me is much more accessible, convenient and safer than getting around the Strip. I often venture into casinos alone as my friends do not share my interest in sportsbook wagering and I can only sit with them at 21 table for a couple of hours before I get restless.

For the past several years, we usually end up staying at the Four Queens thanks to their promotional offers that come in the mail.

It is hard to beat the offers from Four Queens/Binion's and as someone in a wheelchair, I prefer the handicapped-accessible rooms at the Four Queens over any other hotel in Las Vegas -- including the Strip. Over the past decade or so, hotels got the not so bright idea that rooms look nice with really high beds. Unfortunately, when you are not able to stand up, transferring from your wheelchair to a high bed can be extremely difficult and downright dangerous.

Now that the Plaza has refurbished their rooms, the Four Queens and Vegas Club are the only two hotels that have wheelchair-accessible rooms with beds at a normal height in the Fremont Street area.

Besides the beds and value offered by the Four Queens, my friends and I really enjoy playing Blackjack Switch and find the most of the dealers and all of the pit personnel (Kathy and Willy) to be friendly and easy to get along which makes playing all the more enjoyable. Also love the cocktail waitresses -- especially Norma who is a sweetheart.

The Subway at the Four Queens is not as good as the one in the El Cortez, but Magnolia's is a fine coffee shop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The spaghetti/lasagna meals with delicious Minestrone soup are an outstanding deal for those of us who prefer saving our gambling. The prime rib used be to a bargain, but they have raised the price a bit and now the Prime Rib deal across the street at Tony Roma's is a bit better.

Even when the Four Queens is super busy, there never seems to a long wait to check-in or check-out and you can't beat the location smack in the center of Fremont Street.

Not so crazy about the Sportsbook because the board is small (only recently went electronic) and they seem to open later and close earlier than the others. But I still use them for games or futures where they offer a better value as I like to shop and compare lines.

I have a group of friends from different parts of the country who I meet up with in Vegas several times a year and we see no reason to switch our base of operations from the Four Queens. Just wish they would pay 3:2 Blackjack on the single deck 21 table.

On our last trip that ended last week, we stayed 3 days at Golden Nugget, 3 at South Point, and 3 at Four Queens. Although we enjoyed all 3 places, the Four Queens was to me, the most fun. I had never stayed at Four Queens before and it was great. The caveat is that if you don't like the "Old Vegas" atmosphere and expect a newer property with all updated rooms, decor, and furnishings, this may not be for you. But I love the style and it was a blast. First of all, we stayed in a petite suite. It was very inexpensive and had so much room. The bathroom had double sinks and the shower and water pressure were fine. The room was big with two couches and two big chairs as well as a flat screen TV. It had a make-up desk and chair as well as a writing desk. Two closets, plenty of drawers, we could have lived there! One of the features I really liked about Four Queens was that we drove up, valet took our car, we walked into the front door and 20 feet to the front desk. Checked in, walked 20 feet to the elevator, got off the elevator and walked another 20 feet to our room! This all takes about 1 minute from front desk to room. My kind of place. Then when it was time to go to the main casino or restaurant, we walked for maybe 2 minutes tops. Their coffee shop restaurant was great. When we checked in they gave us a book then we also found a sheet of coupons from a guy at the front door. So the entire time we were there, every time we ate at the restaurant we got 2 for 1 pricing. We had wonderful, big breakfasts every morning and paid about $12 for both of us. They gave us some match play and little gifts, the type of things you'd expect downtown. It was so nice to be able to walk out the door and be on the Fremont Street Experience, walk across the street to play poker at Binion's or next d oor at The Golden Nugget. I am not sure a lot of people would like this place if you have children, maybe the strip is better for you. But if you like the old Vegas feel and want a clean, cheap room with great service, you'll love Four Queens! I have stayed in about 75% of all the Las Vegas hotels and in the future we will probably stay at Four Queens all the time. We liked it that much.

This place screams "Vegas" like it should be. Many of the Fremont St. casinos do, but none like this place and Golden Nugget in my opinion.

Low limit table games keep me coming back whenever I visit Fremont Street.
