Moved to SC from CA. Always gambled at Lake Tahoe. Only thing I miss about CA. Take the charter from Columbia to Biloxi with 3 nights. Do it every 3 months. Always have a good time. Across the walkway is The Blind Tiger with excellent food, especially the low country shrimp boil.
Clean rooms, friendly & helpful service, even the phone reservation lady was nice. We won at slots in early part of day, but we lost the winnings that evening. For only a one night stay, I had a great time and look forward to a return visit. The place is very family oriented with many children at the pool. Our grandchildren may have to join us next time. The beach across the street is beautiful with long white sand for them to play with.
It is very bad when the locals say dont go to Harrahs! Taxi drivers, waitresses people already playing,Gives the worse payouts for slots of any casino. The hotel was as good as any other casino I have been to and the restaurant is a 5 star. But I go to casinos to play.I will not go back to Harrah's Gulfcoast again,The tips found in the casino guide gives better alternatives
My wife and I just returned from another 6 day trip to the Gulf..And Harrah's treated us just fine..All the employees are friendly and greet you every time they see you..Slots were quite tight but we enjoyed playing anyway.Food at Mix and Mingle was fabulous as well as the "hurricanes".Also ate at Steak and Shake and that was good also.Room was clean and great bed and pillows! We were comped and the trip was wonderful. There is so much to do down on the Gulf!Get down there if you can.
