Michigan Control Board approved software for the slots that recognizes players and allows those cowards behind the cameras to Lower and Raise Payout percentage as they please. The shuffle masters for the table games are rented not owned by the casino because they dont want to be held accountable for what they know they do, which is deal non random shuffles. There is absolutely nothing random about this place. When Gaming Control was confronted about allowing the casino to pick and choose winners, they refused to answer which means YES obviously. This is exactly why MGM Grand was after this city for years because they know the scumbags here are corrupt and have always been.
Slots are tight, People are rude, Service isn't great, Food isn't great and to many people playing 2 slots at a time. Wouldn't recommend going. Not fun and your in and out quick because most aren't winning and don't get any to play.
I visited MGM casino tonight and left because of the lack of courtesy displayed to its patrons. To make things worse the manager, Paul, greatly failed in resolving the issue. According to Paul, MGM allows people leave a slot seat and walk around for up to approximately 10-20 minutes. All along as someone "HOLDS" their seat. I was also advised by Paul that at MGM it is Ok for persons to play several slots at once. Paul also stated that is just the way it is because his casino makes 3x what Las Vegas MGM makes so he is not going to rock the boat. I would recommend visiting one of the of the other great Detroit casinos if you plan to play any slots. You will also not have to deal with incompetent management.
MGM is by far the nicest, most full service Casino in Detroit. It is the only casino built from the ground up; the others are upgrade of their "temporary" facilities. MGM has a nightclub. multiple bars and upscale dining. The rooms are fully appointed and have great views. Table limits run high in the casino, and there is no full pay video poker.
