The slots are very tight here. I somehow managed to have a few decent sessions after 50, YES 50 plus continuous trips without waking off with a profit. And i play $5 spin average. I've hit 10k twice only to lose it all in 2 hrs with a average $10 bet. I've noticed better winning odds betting $25-100 per spin here. Oh well, I'm nearly broke , credit ruined , but at least I got "free" meals when I used my player card. Something is off here, I've never lost so much $ so fast and been around a more deprressed group of players , and this place has the only $10 Wheel of Fortune I've never, ever seen a hand pay on, and I frequent blue Chip and Las Vegas frequently. What a scam.

We stopped there well on our way home from a trip to western Canada. To drive through a dark night coming in the "back way" fom South Bend, turn the corner and be confronted by a Beautiful Site like the 4 winds ws worth the trip.
We ate at the Snack Bar and were very pleased with the service and the food. And the prices were reasonable.
We all played the slots which were VERY tight. None of the 4 in our party cam close to winning any money. Each lost in the area of $100. With no big hits or returns.
I'm glad me took the time to go, as it would have been a sin to be that close and not take the trip.
That being said. If I wanted to win anything I look elsewere.

I have been a customer since it opened 3 years ago. It was fair at first, now they are downright greedy! I know that they are in the business to make money, but the patron that is taking a chance with their money should also have a minimally fair chance at winning every once in a while.

I have gone to Four Winds numerous times and play primarily blackjack. As a whole, I find the dealers there to be, on average, the friendliest in the area and it makes the experience more fun than when they are stiff and robotic like at other casinos. However, I have asked on numerous occasions for them to explain their comp system for blackjack to me and nobody has ever been willing to do so. They simply ask you what you want and then will take your card and come back with a yes or no to your request with no explanation of why you did or didn't get what you asked for. On my most recent visit, I played at the same blackjack table for 9 straight hours and when I asked at the end if they could give me a free meal or anything (I've received meals before while playing far fewer hours), the pit boss seemed annoyed by the question. After first avoiding me as I was trying to ask, she then took my card to someone for them to check it and I heard her make an insulting remark about me as she asked him to check the card. When they returned and told me I hadn't earned a meal, I was a disappointed but I was far more upset that I heard her make the remark about me. I was in no way rude or demanding when I asked that she check. They are never willing to explain how they determine it and I have received meals for less play there. I certainly didn't think my question was unreasonable and her reaction to my question really upset me and sent me home a little angry. A friendly, "Sorry, we can't do anything right now" would've been a far better way to go.
