I’ve been going to Firekeepers since opening. They had a fire slot game when they started out and progressively got worse. Their greed to expand and big management bonuses have tightened the slots and cleanliness (smell good) has finally got me to drive to Gun Lake or Anderson. The final straw came yesterday (5 Jan 2019). Their big prize cars do not get drawn until late February, so the slots should be loose (they tighten them up to pay for the cars). In this case the slots are super tight so pure greed is in play here. Do yourself a favor, from someone who wants a fair slot game and clean atmosphere, find a different casino the what everyone now calls this place “Money Keepers”.
You can read people saying dont go here or there because they lost 1 time or something. This place you wont win numerous times. Im going to get a players card and try 1 last time. If nothing hits in the 1st hr then myself and the family will leave and be back at soaring eagle. Soaring eagle will hit often and the comps are great. So guess we will see. If it goes bad will post to y'all and not go back. Plus let ya know best machines and time at soaring eagle. Firekeepers make a ton of money so they should atleast let more people win more often and have machines pay more jackpots!! Use to be ok now horrible. Stay at soaring eagel or Detroit!
This place fully deserves the moniker 'Moneykeepers' in more ways than one. Just had an awful experience on our first visit there a few days ago. I don't go to a casino often, but it was a holiday and I had saved my money for this 3 hr trip for some fun. After signing up for our players cards, I put a 20 dollar bill in the first machine I sat at..I pressed the spin button and nothing happened..I then noticed that the buttons were not lit up, which indicated that the machine wasn't working. I then pressed the cash out button..again, nothing happened. I called the attendant, who then came over..I explained what happened...he took notes, opened the machine and examined it. He noted the time I had sat down and indicated that I did indeed put a 20 into the machine...he then told me that another customer had also put a 20 into the machine and their was no way he could be sure that it was mine! Then the attendent tried to tell me that I had most likely taken the money OUT after I put it in per surveillance video...this was absolutely NOT true because of how I put my money in...I was practically in tears, but he didn't seem empathetic in the least that I had just seen 20 dollars literally disappear and his attitude was one of 'tough luck' because the machine was out of order. Needless to say, that will be our LAST visit to 'Moneykeepers'.
This casino is very clean, but the chances of winning are slim. You would have to invest a large amount to make any profit. The service is really poor, they don't seem happy nor interested in the customers.
