Most Kansas casinos are tight, but the Mulvane Kansas Star casino is a complete waste of time and money. You cannot win at any game, to include black jack and craps. The machines are the tightest in the world with about a 70%; payout, meaning if you start with $100 you will have $70 when you are done, and that is a 30%; house profit. Most Vegas casinos are only 3%; to 5%. They cannot even get a card game together for popular card games without a large rake for Boyd. Wichita has private poker games because the casino is a rip off. The soda is the only thing free but you have to go and find it. Drinks and food are greasy and costly. After the house wins $50,000, they let someone with $1,500 at slots then withhold taxes from your winning. I am surprised they are still open because the casino drains $30 million dollars from Wichita families every year. Keep going south to Oklahoma or further to Texas.
This is the worst casino I've been in, stay away. You will never enjoy yourself as long as the state runs the casino. Drinks are to high priced, and the buffet sucks. Go south!!!!
It's really too bad that this casino is state-owned because the state is the one that is in charge of regulating the casinos and it is NOT self-regulating! The payoffs are NOT right--they can't be because my mother, friends and I used to be able to win once in awhile! Not anymore! Can spend over $60 without hitting ANYTHING and then when one finally does hit a bonus, you're lucky to win $3!!!!! Like another said, it's too bad there isn't anyone who can investigate this casino (besides the state that owns it)! Gambling by it's very nature is a game of luck, but all the luck in the world isn't going to help when the machines are set to "rip off!"
I recently played a machine just betting $1. I put in $60 so that gave me 60 spins, I hit absolutely nothing in those 60 spins. Not even a double or triple wild. Nothing!! ATM in the Casino took my card and approve the transaction and no money came out, casino work help me to fix it and told me the credit to be in my bank in a few day with reference numbers. Now i call back they says they can't help me and give me the atm company number when I call they tell me to contract casino. Don't Go there if you don't want to get scam
