I was just there. The place is filthy and they don't bother to keep it up. The slots are tight unless you can afford "The High Limit" room. Always payoffs there if you can afford $5-$25 dollar slots. The staff couldn't be bothered to talk to you. The food even in the VIP room is mediocre at best. The points you earn using a players card just took a turn for the worse (it would probably take you a week to get "comped for a hotdog which you'd have to wait for in a long line). The hotel is nothing special. It has a pool and a continental breakfast of donuts and coffee. The promotions are crummy. Last one was where you win $500-$1,300 if your name was called but only if you swiped your card in every hour and "had some playing time". If the person whose name was called didn't claim the prize within 5 minutes, rather than call another name the casino kept the money. C'mon how cheap can you be? And the video slots are really tight. My suggestion would be find another place to go. A lot of people I talked to like Harrah's better.

So we had to spend 3 nights in Joliet while we took my niece to college orientation nearby. One of the days we decided to kill at Hollywood Joliet.

My first complaint is one that I have with every Hollywood Casino. They each have their own player's clubs (although the ones in PA, WV, and OH finally use the same card). So any play here won't count since this one only shares with another Hollywood a few miles away.

Most of the employees seemed like they hated their jobs. There were no nice employees here. And since I was losing, you would think that they would try to be nice.

Plus the casino was on the small side.

I doubt that I would come back here again.

My wife and I have been going to Hollywood Joliet for a couple of years,it's a non-smoking casino,as are all of Illinois casinos. I play the video poker machines mostly, my wife plays slots and video poker. We both have players' cards and use them whenever we go. The last time we received any comps in a mailer, a buy-one-get-one-free-buffet was in december 2010. I inquired at the players club and was told "nothing at this time". That was 3 months ago. What gives? We might start going back to Indiana, they give comps regularly and have implemented the no-smoking ordinance.

This casino has that lousy 6:5 blackjack ripoff on 6 deck shoe games! Stay FAR away! Refuse to gamble here until they end this ripoff!

Slot Games are Decent, almost every time i go there i will always hit a decent bonus game payout $50-$100 on a Penny slot when i max bet which is $1.50 - $3.00.

I mainly go there to play Texas Holdem, the tables have calmed down since Harrrah's has opened up a new Poker Room and the play has gone from insane to playable.

Never had any problems with the Staff, which are more than willing to assist you. I go there at-least once a Week.

PS. their Corned Beef Sandwich with Marble Rye Bread is amazing for $7.50!
