very good buffet. room quality depends on the tower selected. Awesome pool area although very crowed usually. Decent video poker and a nice area to play.

I stayed at the Golden Nugget for my 21st birthday and was impressed from the moment we walked in the door. The casino and other areas of the hotel are very beautifully decorated. We booked a room and paid an extra $20-40 per night to be upgraded to a parlor suite. Our AC was broken when we got to the room but maintenance fixed it very quickly.

The casino is the most beautiful on Fremont street and has average games. The video poker is pretty good. I won about $100 from playing VP for just a few minutes. Also, I never had a losing session of craps and one night I played until 4 am. The only game where I lost a lot of money was blackjack. All in all, I was only $50 down after many hours of gambling.

Overall, I think this is the best hotel on Fremont Street, but there are better odds in other casinos, but better than the Strip for sure!

Still the nicest hotel on Freemont street, the rooms seem just average. The pool and buffet are excellent. The casino is a little tight, but does have 8/5 bonus video poker for a quarter. The poker room is usually pretty busy and there are some good coupons in the ACG book for the Golden Nugget.

Probably our 11th or 12th visit to the Golden Nugget - it will be our last. Paid way too much money for a room with a shower that is almost impossible to get in and out of, a bathroom with no towel bars, a hairdryer that had to be replaced twice, a safe that wouldn't open one night as we were on our way out (got to spend an hour of our evening "watching" security people attempt to open it), and almost no easy-to-reach electrical outlets. In order to access our floor, we had to use our keycard in the elevator. More than 1/2 the time, the keycard didn't work, so we would have to trek over the the VIP office to have it re-keyed so that we could get to our room. All too often when we got to our room, again, the keycard was very "stubborn" and on one occasion we had to again return to the VIP center to get one that functioned. Way too much work for what was supposed to be a fun get-away. For the price we paid, we will be trying a different hotel on our next visit to Las Vegas. Very disappointing and frustrating.

This is an update on their "FE Fee". Thats what they are calling it. Not a resort fee. Again my ratings are based on their downtown competitors. They have a shark tank that you can swim through
and the huge gold nugget. In addition you can purchase gold there from a machine.
