99 percent of the dealers at Viejas are outstanding, there are a few bad apples who they refuse to correct. The pit bosses who also deal are also good having to be accountable to the patrons. If you want to get comped you are in the wrong casino, and some of the pit bosses are very rude. Many of the pit bosses do not clock you in when you sit down, and one young lady does not know how to do it. Another area of concern is that there are a lot of seedy characters here who are constantly trying to ask you for a few bucks or sell you worthless coupons. Their lack of competent security is alarming. Also there is no safe place to park your car. They have excellent bartenders and servers here, and some good restaurants, except the buffet. I live 10 minutes from here, but I prefer to drive longer to Barona,Sycuan,or even Golden Acorn.

Quite possibly the WORST slot machine odds in California. Do yourself a favor and avoid this casino. Take your money to Barona, or Vegas.

With the money you will lose, you can pay for the round trip fare on Southwest to get to Vegas. Viejas is absolutely pathetic!

Nice place, good buffet, service is alright but the slots are very tight, I have stopped there a few times and every time I have had the same bad experience with slots, they're simply too tight. I think I'd rather drive a few miles NW to the B casino, at least they advertise their many monthly jackpot winners, haven't yet won there either but my money lasted much longer so I had more fun.
I may still stop at Viejas to eat at the buffet, go shopping at the outlets but never to play slots again.

Very easy to get to on the freeway from SD, this is a nice casino, albeit pieced together so it's a bit hard to navigate once inside. The blackjack games are first rate and the staff pleasant. I have even had a few decent runs at the tables. The Dreamcatcher Nightclub is also a great spot and a nice break from the action. I have had late/early breakfast at the 24 hour diner-type place, also very good and a big plate of food priced right with friendly staff but the a/c was cranked up so high it was a bit unpleasant. Cocktail service is decent as well, but not comped at the tables like you might find elsewhere. There is no hotel/resort here. The rest of the story is not so rosy. The players club card seems to be a joke. I have racked up my fair share of 'points' but they seem to have no real value. There have been no comps on anything. I was even offered a free buffet for signing up and never received it. The slots, which occupy most of the gaming floor, are awful. Variety is not the best, the best games are not here and payouts are worse. California really dropped the ball on this one, not regulating the slots or requiring the casinos to be accountable for them by posting payout percentages and it really shows, these machines could be set for 5% or 85% payout and it would suit the state just fine. There are NO minimum payout percentages. Who else runs a business in this fashion?? I have been here eight times and have yet to see anyone win anything substantial. Changing this law and adding a place to stay for players who are weary after a day's play would probably make this a first class venue. In summary it's a nice break for a day but for real gaming action, keep heading east to Nevada.

My visits to Viejas and Casino Hotel has been infrequent lately because this venue lacks the fun experience I use to encounter a couple of years ago. Although my husband and I stayed at the hotel on our anniversary and birthdays, we have never received a significant win and as much money I have put in, Viejas does not perk you giving me the impression that its an insult to even ask their guest services for something special. Today I turned in my players card in vowing not to return to this place. Good luck to those who brace their ailes looking for a fun experience. It just will not be me. So long Viejas.
