The slots in this place are horribly tight.
It's highway robbery. Might as well throw
your money to their driveway and don't
waste your time.

We were in Kingston for a wedding and were lucky to get the last available room at this hotel. VERY nice place. We showed up at 1:30 pm for a 4:00 pm check-in and they let us check in! We were so happy about that, as it gave me a private space to get dressed for the wedding. The room was clean, nice, fresh, with a pretty view of green, trees, and totem poles. Loved the Native American art. We played at the casino and I won on slots, hubby won at the craps table. The slots were generous to me. I had bonus after bonus, often on my first spin playing a machine. We ate brunch at the buffet and it was TERRIFIC. Omelet bar, nice selection of food, steak, desserts, you name it. The desserts there were so masterful and attractive that I broke my diet. :) Chocolate cake--so good. In short, we had an excellent time at Point Casino, and will return. Oh, yeah, and the gift shop attendant let us know about the ferry reimbursement for casino play, so they also gave us back $27.50 that we paid for the ferry ride from Edmonds. What a great surprise!

I have reservations to stay at the new hotel tomorrow night. However, after reading the reviews, I noticed that almost every review mentions how awful the payback is on the, slots. I'm tempted to cancel our trip out, there. When the slots are set so tight it is really not fun. I'm wondering if that's the reason their hotel had so many rooms available when all of the other casino hotels in the area were completely booked. I'm not sure I want to set myself up to lose. I'll have,to think about this.

The slots play here used to be pretty good, but since they have started adding a Hotel they have shut down the slots in order to pay for it. Anyone who says the Indians slots are fair doesn't play them. They shut down certain machines so that they will not bonus and they manipulate the size of the bonuses so that you cannot possibly win. If you have to spend $50 to get a bonus and the bonus is $10, well you can do the math.

I love the casino as a facility and the food, cigar bar, and customer service is great. It is one of the few casinos in the area you can frequent without risking an early death from secondhand smoke. But the payback on slot machines has been dropping. It used to feel like 94-95%, now I would put it in the upper 80%'s. I think the reason is pretty obvious: Clearwater Casino. Sure, the Point is not quite as bad as its nearby competition--that would take some serious effort--but it is hazardous to play here. I'm guessing that every tribal casino around here is trying to figure out how much more profit they can suck out of their mostly blue collar patrons, and seeing how low they can set the payback. The Point may not be the lowest, but they are trying to catch up.
Go for drinks and entertainment, but stay away from the slots.
