I go to different casinos every almost every weekend. I play both Slots and table games. I have never ever won at the table games and very rarely hit on the slots. I have lost hundreds of dollars and gotten nothing in return. And their cash for points is pitiful. Most casinos give $1 per 100 points but not this one.
I went to Angel of the Winds Casino on Friday, June 29th 2012 and after not being there for even 10 minutes, was assaulted by a man. He made the excuse that because the friend I was with said the word fat in a conversation he was having with me, that he must have been referring to the man's family. The man proceeded to then gather the people he had with him, and instead of targeting my friend, attacked me instead. He perceived me as being homosexual and repeatedly called me faggot while he tried tripping me and pushing me in the back. I was verbally and physically assaulted and all I got from security was that if he did it again he would be asked to leave. I am dissatisfied with my experience there and the lack of action on part of the security staff. I felt unsafe and eventually had to leave because they allowed the man to stay after verbally and physically attacking me for a perceived slight that he admitted, to security and even to me while he was harassing me, I did not commit. I feel this man targeted me because he believed I was homosexual and an easy target for harrassment, since all the comments were based on me being a "faggot" and because he targeted me instead of the man that had offended him. It created an atmosphere that I am not willing to endure again. I will not be coming back to a place that allows its patrons to discriminate and physically abuse others.
Not a bad place, not a great place either... Stopped in here to meet the in-laws who were spending the weekend here. They took their RV and parked it in the parking lot. The have hook-ups and everything you need. They really like it there.
A lot of the slot machines are strange. Same typical games, but when you hit the spin button, the screen flickers, and you need to hit the spin button again.
The staff is very friendly. Worth a quick stop for sure.
I don't care what everyone else thinks, compared to others this place is great. Comfortable place, friendly employees, latest games. Tulalip may be bigger but this place is friendlier. I much rather spend my time and money at the Angels. I agree, you may not win every time, but where do you? At least this place treats you right, compared to any casino around.
I can only comment on their poker room. Cash game is usually 3/6 LH, occasionally 4/8 LH and 1/2 NLHE. Tournaments are very fast (Sunday's $33 tourney has 40BB starting stack with 12m rounds). Lots of poker players are local folks over the age of 40. Field is pretty soft and tight. If you need serious action - go to Tulalip. If you want to play poker and have fun - you might like it.
