The state-of-the-art 60,000-square-foot Mohegan Sun Casino Las Vegas, featuring 650 slots and over 150 table games, will also open at 6 p.m. Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is flipping the script on traditional Las Vegas Resort openings and will open its doors to the consumer first, putting a significant number of people back to work in the city and offering a positive first sign that Las Vegas is heading in a more hopeful direction. A traditional Grand Opening Celebration is being planned for late Spring based on projected increased gatherings and potential lifting of entertainment restrictions. Dining reservations for a selection of the property’s culinary collection are now available online at virginhotelslv.com Reservations are now available for Hakkasan Group’s Casa Calavera, Kris Yenbamroong’s Night + Market, the legendary Nobu and One Steakhouse from Michael and David Morton. All restaurants inside Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will operate in accordance with the Governor’s current public health directives, operating at limited capacity with up to six guests per table. Reservations are not required but are strongly encouraged. Guests are advised to take advantage of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas’ free self-parking, available at two conveniently located garages, the Paradise Garage, off Paradise Rd. and the Harmon Garage, off Harmon Ave. Both parking garages will open to the public at 6 p.m. PT. Valet parking will also be available at the Harmon Garage and the property’s main entrance beginning at 6:30 p.m. Valet parking starts at $6 for up to 3 hours per vehicle or a maximum of $20 per day. The rideshare pick-up and drop-off area, located adjacent to the main entrance, will also open to guests at 6:30 p.m. Due to high demand, it is recommended that guests check online or call 800.693.7625 for availability.

Goodman will hold a special edition of the Oscar’s Dinner Series at Oscar’s Steakhouse at the Plaza Hotel & Casino inside the restaurant’s iconic glass dome on Wednesday, April 7. Attendees will enjoy a special dinner with Goodman, as he recalls his personal experience filming the movie, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last December. The April 7 dinner menu will recreate the meal that Oscar’s wife, current city of Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman cooked and served at their home to the Casino cast, including Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, and Joe Pesci, when the movie was filmed in Las Vegas. The special dinner will start with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m. in Oscar’s lounge. Guests will then join Goodman at 7 p.m. inside the dome overlooking the lights of Fremont Street for a three-course plated dinner paired with red and white wines as well as the signature Oscar Goodman Martini. Individual tickets to the Oscar’s Dinner Series are typically $150 each. However, due to social distancing and capacity requirements, Oscar’s will only be selling a limited number of tables for parties of two people ($300), four ($600) and six ($900), for the April 7 dinner. Rio: The more than 2,510-room Rio Las Vegas will be renovated and rebranded into multiple Hyatt full-service brand flags, and will undergo a redevelopment of the current public spaces, including gaming, retail, food and beverage, spa and fitness, and pool recreation deck. In addition, the Rio Las Vegas will undergo a renovation of one of the hotel’s existing towers, and upon completion, the tower is expected to become a 1,501-room Hyatt Regency hotel with standard guestrooms averaging 580 square feet. The remainder of the Rio’s guestrooms are expected to be branded or affiliated with one or more other Hyatt full-service brands after they are renovated. Beyond redefining the hotel experience for business travelers and leisure guests, the Hyatt Regency hotel and other Hyatt-affiliated hotels will welcome meetings and event business with more than 220,000 square feet of function space and state-of-the-art meeting facilities. Timeline for changes have not been finalized as yet.
