We stayed overnight in the RV park free. Slots were good to us. Had a great hamburger at The Restaurant. Casino is small but has very friendly personnel. Did not play the tables. The best way to get to the casino is to take exit #1 off of I-40 on the Missouri side. Goes right to the front door. Not much in the way of players club rewards. Might work out for locals with mail offers.
Drove 2.5 hours to see George Lopez who was great, the facility itself???? OMG!!!!! HORRIBLY CROWDED, LONG LINES, PUSHY DRUNK HECKLERS, TOOK 45 MINS TO FIGHT THROUGH THE CROWD AFTER THE SHOW JUST TO FIND A BATHROOM, SHOW WAS IN A FREAKING HOT ASS TENT ON FOLDING CHAIRS CRAMMED TOGETHER, COULD NOT EVEN SEE LOPEZ, WATCHED THE SHOW ON A CRAPPY 32 IN SCREEN THAT KEPT FLICKERING OFF, SOUND WAS HORRIBLE, HALF THE TIME YOU COULDN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT HE WAS SAYING. STAFF WAS RUDE!!!! NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!!!!
Daryl Hall and John Oates put on a great, albeit brief show. The facility is horrible. We waited two hours in line (fairly close to the front) to find we ALL would have to stand for the entire show. All of this in a tent on a parking lot! Great musical talent, but I'll never go there again. I am embarrassed that Hall and Oates sees Oklahoma in this fashion. The audience loved the music. Hey, fans of this music are generally middle aged plus. You'll never get repeat business unless you give people what they're paying for. Sad, really.
I've been here several times lost over 300 each time, pay out is horrible, staffs rude ran 100 dollars threw a 50 cent machine without a single red spin I didn't think that was possible. Don't bother stopping keep going I-40 west to sugar creek u will have better luck.
Lucky Star is a 20 minute drive from my house. I used to love going there. I'd win or break even occasionally. Not anymore! They've added on a new addition and a lot more machines. They are giving out 10 dollars for lady's day, men's day, etc. I guess they are paying for the addition and the payouts on the slots are terrible. I never win, not ever! I guess from now on I'll drive to Firelake. It's a long way, but at least you don't lose everytime.
