I really like the atmosphere. Employees very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is smokers. I'm an ex smoker so the smoke really bothers me. Wish you could separate them.

I can't speak for the Class II slot machines, which I never play. (What's the fun of just pressing a button with no skill involved?) But Buffalo Run has the very best odds on video poker, Class III [RPG] machines with 99.5% payouts! I've found no other casino in Oklahoma which pays 9 on a full house, 6 on a flush. And you get these optimal odds, whether you play quarters or dollars. So I can afford to play max bet, which offers 4000 on a full house (vs 250 payout on 1). At max quarters, that pays $1,000 - conveniently just below the threshold for IRS reporting. By comparison, the nearby downstream pays only 8/5, and the Winstar pays an atrocious 7/5. The Grand pays 8/6, but only on dollar bets. If you are a savvy gambler whos attention to the pay tables, video poker at Buffalo Run is your very best bet.

I only play video poker (Class III machines), since those are games of skill. I see no point in mindlessly punching a button on a Class II slot machine. Buffalo Run's video poker machines have a 99.5% payout, the best I've found in the State of Oklahoma. We like to stay at the Downstream, because they are generous in free hotel rooms; we meet friends driving down from KC about once per month. But I always drive over to the Buffalo Run for much of my play. (My wife, who plays Keno, stays at the Downstream.) Downstream's video poker machines pay 8 on a full house, 5 on a flush, which is better than many casinos. (Winstar machines offer an atrocious 7/5.) But Buffalo Run pays 9/6! Also, those odds are available whether you play quarters or dollars, so I play max bet quarters. (You must play max bet to get the best payoff on a royal flush, and I couldn't afford to play $5 per hand. Hitting a royal at max play quarters wins $1000, just below the reporting requirement to the IRS. So I realy, really love the Buffalo Runs's machines.

Buffalo Run has been running a big TV and radio promotional; program, touting the "loosest slots in Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma". They also are pushing the idea that since they haven't built a new casino building, they are "In the Black and paying Back".

My wife and I, three - four years ago, went to Buffalo Run quite regularly, and did as well on the slots as we did anywhere else, and better, I think, on average, than most other Native American casinos in the area.

We stopped going there however when we seemed to stop having any luck on the slots. A couple weeks ago, we returned based on their big advertising promotion, to see if we noticed any difference in the slots. We went through our night's 'budget' in short order, and seemingly the slots were just as hungry, or maybe even moreso, than they had been when we stopped going there a few years ago.

I do think the atmosphere there is fine, and the employees as responsive as most any other casino. The player's club is average, and we fine nothing particularly good or bad about the food and drink services.

For my money however, (and that is the money I am most concerned about!) I will not be going back anytime soon. There are other casinos, newer and nicer, with equal or better food, drink and customer services, closer to my home where I seem to at least have some luck during an evening on at least one or two slot machines, even if not winning any big jackpots. I know I can play longer on my money at these other casinos, than I can at Buffalo Run on that same amount of money. And since slots are the only thing I play, that is the bottom line.

I haven't been to the casino or Hotel for about 2 yrs. The slots just take your money. The Hotel is nice but what's the use if the casino is so tight? It used to be fun to play there before they got greedy. I won't be back until they loosen the slots up. Looks like management could see whats happening,DUH. They will figure it out when just the employees are the only ones left to play.
