We go for the $3.00 movies for seniors. We have stopped eating there as the food is as bad as you can find anywhere. We had the absolute worst meal ever in their coffee shop and when we asked to speak to the manager he went into a back area and would not come out. Now that's bad!

The gaming there is just average and the Club which started off being very liberal has deteriorated to absolutely nothing. It will be interesting to see what happens when M opens in March.

My wife and I spent 2 weeks at the South Point last year. The staff and hotel was excellent and the price of the room was very good. The room we had faced Las Vegas Blvd. and the view was great, you could see all of the way across the valley. We like the South Point because of the various types and quantity of video poker machines. We think they have the most in Las Vegas.

We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone that is going to stay in Vegas. Although it is on the southern end of the strip, it's more relaxing than being on the strip. No hassle with people or traffic.

This property is situated some 6-7 miles south of the next closest casino on the Strip, but it is well worth the drive. Room rates are excellent given the quality/newness/size of the rooms. Each room has a 42" plasma TV and a choice of 2 doubles or a king size bed. The bathrooms are pretty standard with a tub/shower combo.

This casino was built before the surrounding area was populated and direct access off I-15 is still a work in progress. Other than on weekends, the casino is not busy.

The lounge is not particularly active except on weekends. Other entertainment options include a 16-screen movie complex, bowling alley, large (though barren) pool area and an equestrian center. The showroom should be opening sometime in 2007.

No 100% VP is offered though NSUD, BDLX and 9/6 JOB are offered at the 25c level.

Dining options are numerous an include a very good coffee shop, Mexican, Steakhouse and Italian restaurants. The breakfast buffet is satisfactory, but the dinner buffet, including the weekly seafood buffet, suffers from low patronage. The Coronado Cafe, coffee shop, offers low priced graveyard specials until 9AM. that should not be missed.

The South Point Hotel & Casino may be out of the way for most people, at the far, far south end of town, but it is well worth the trip. Unlike many other casino bean-counters, Michael Gaughan is not afraid to offer his patrons good games, delightful dining at a good price, good player promotions, and of course a beautiful hotel.

When most other casinos are constantly lowering their quality of video poker, the South Point has put forth a full selection of top paying VP games, welcoming players at all levels. A real breath of fresh air, much like Benny Binion always wanting to make sure he gave the players a square deal, instead of trying to pick their pockets.

Make the trip ... you'll be glad you did !

This is by far the cleanest and most relaxing place I found to sit back, relax and play some slots.

I love the fact that the South Point (formerly South Coast) is not full of packs of tourists, nor is their a cloud of smoke hovering over the casino floor.

The Graveyard Specials at Coronado Cafe are not to be missed!

Make it a point to check out the South Point when you are in LV...even if it is a little bit out of the way. You will not be disappointed.
