Big casino with lots of the older favorite machines. Good mix of vacationers and locals, mostly older crowd. Off the strip but not very far,Easy to get to with the free shuttle by Bills Casino on the strip, Shuttle picks up near the parking garage.Goes directly to the Gold Coast. Return trip stops at The Orleans first, then back to Bills. Not a very long trip at all. Large buffet is quite good at a bargain price. Wednesday is senior day, 1/2 price buffet.

Spent 3 nights Nov. 20 -23.at the Gold Coast. Breakfast buffet very good and a great value. I had a wonderful crispy duck app. and a chicken/veg./ noodle dish at the Noodle Exchange restaurant. Points can be used at most of the eateries. They also have decent $1.25 hot dogs with the fixins. I had comped rooms, which are nice but small, but I was unexpectedly alone this trip, so it is plenty large for one. The employee's are always helpful and friendly. You can't beat the location as the Palms is across Flamingo and the Rio is across the other side of the GC. The Players club is decent, with a variety of rewards and points. With the shuttle to the Orleans and the strip, this is ideal for the off strip experience.

We just left Las Vegas after having spent about 10 days there, 5 of which were at Gold Coast. This is not our first time there. The Gold Coast is one of our favorites for several reasons. First, they're cheap...at certain times of the year you can't get a place closer to so much action for the low price we pay. Gold Coast may not be for everyone. It's located across from the Palms and next to Rio but it's not on the strip and it's not a short walk back to the strip. We drive to Las Vegas so we have our car the entire time we're there. Driving around means nothing to us and as a matter of fact, that's a lot of what we do when there. We always drive out to Mt. Charleston at least once, we go up to Craig Road near the Cannery Casino because one of our favorite Mexican restaurants is located up there. So since we have a car, being at Gold Coast is not a problem.

The rooms are always nice and clean. They now have flat screen tv's in all the rooms although for my life I can't figure out why they would spring for the flat screens then not pay the extra cost for high definition TV! Having said that, the casino is always clean, they have great contests for football and other sports, and their shows are well priced and fun to attend. Their bingo hall is one of the biggest in Las Vegas, always clean, and a fun place to play (if bingo is your thing). And their sports book is great too.

For the first time in a while we tried their buffet for breakfast. I was very surprised at what we got for $6.99 each. They had everything you could possibly want on a buffet including omelet station...I mean, this was quite the buffet. You could easily spend $13 at many other places and not get as much.

Gold Coast is one of our favorites.

We stayed at this hotel last year on a 2 night comp. It was a decent sized place and very clean. Very similar to its sister property, the Orleans, only smaller. The buffet was solid, and they have a good selection (again like the Orleans buffet) and if you're 55 and over, you can get a 2/1 on certain days.

I really liked the casino and their low limits at all times of the day. There is a TGI Fridays in the casino as well as a coffee shop, and other restaurants too that I cannot recall.

My only critique of the hotel is that they do not have a safe, and this was a deal breaker for me. If you want to store your stuff, you have to go to the cashier's cage, which was fine, but a pain in the neck.

That would be the only reason not to stay there again. If you don't mind that, and you like clean and cheap, this is the place for you.

Really love to pop in for a quick buffet, hit the Video Poker and low-limit games and, well, it's just the best. I have stayed here and played here and it's a wonder. I want to live here. Being able to park, walk in to the buffet and eat quickly and well without paying through the nose makes my day start out well as I plan another assault on the casinos. And I always stop to play any promotions, play some Video Poker and use whatever coupons I have. Also low limit $5 craps 24/7 is grande. I just wish they had a little better pool scene and some upgrades for rooms, but for the price I'm not complaining! Bobby V (plus, Rio & Palms next door and the Strip a hop away. It's the best!)
