We just left Las Vegas after having spent about 10 days there, 5 of which were at Gold Coast. This is not our first time there. The Gold Coast is one of our favorites for several reasons. First, they're cheap...at certain times of the year you can't get a place closer to so much action for the low price we pay. Gold Coast may not be for everyone. It's located across from the Palms and next to Rio but it's not on the strip and it's not a short walk back to the strip. We drive to Las Vegas so we have our car the entire time we're there. Driving around means nothing to us and as a matter of fact, that's a lot of what we do when there. We always drive out to Mt. Charleston at least once, we go up to Craig Road near the Cannery Casino because one of our favorite Mexican restaurants is located up there. So since we have a car, being at Gold Coast is not a problem.

The rooms are always nice and clean. They now have flat screen tv's in all the rooms although for my life I can't figure out why they would spring for the flat screens then not pay the extra cost for high definition TV! Having said that, the casino is always clean, they have great contests for football and other sports, and their shows are well priced and fun to attend. Their bingo hall is one of the biggest in Las Vegas, always clean, and a fun place to play (if bingo is your thing). And their sports book is great too.

For the first time in a while we tried their buffet for breakfast. I was very surprised at what we got for $6.99 each. They had everything you could possibly want on a buffet including omelet station...I mean, this was quite the buffet. You could easily spend $13 at many other places and not get as much.

Gold Coast is one of our favorites.
