On our current vacation we have visited Ellis a total of 5 times. Frist to play our $10 ACG slot play coupon - the free slot play is credited sometime the following day, but may be redeemed anytime before year end. My wife and I played on ours on the 4 slant tops that have NSUD. We made 4 other visits to have few drinks courtesy of the ACG free drink coupons. We also had breakfast using yet another ACG coupon good for a 2/1 entree. Servers at bar and restaurant were very friendly.
Ellis Island is where you go to drink cheap, eat cheap and gamble cheap. I go for the steak dinner special at the restaurant and like to drink the fabulous microbrews they have there.
They also have a bbq restaurant there but I haven't tried it yet. Same with karaoke-haven't tried it.
Most of the clientele is blue hairs or locals. But you'll find off duty cocktail girls and other industry workers there looking for a low-key environ.
The LVA has had the $4.95 off the menu steak special on its top 10 list for years.
It is a must stop for every trip for the inexpensive drinks, the ambiance (just kidding), second hand smoke (just kidding) and the karaoke (just kidding). every trip.
The price is right and it is a one time, maybe every time experience.
