We revisited Carve a few nights ago and again had a great meal. The restaurant is very warm and sophisticated in contrast to the casino proper. My wife and I once again shared an excellent spinach salad and each ordered the small prime rib. The meat was perfectly cooked to medium rare as requested and was accompanied by aus jus plus a horseradish sauce. We also each chose the sweet potato which includes a delicious maple flavored butter. Service throughout was excellent. The restaurant participates in restaurant.com.

We have stayed at the Eastside 3 times since it opened in August 2008. Located on the Boulder Highway, its nearest competitors include Sam’s Town, Boulder Station and Arizona Charlies (Boulder). This is by far the newest casino on the Boulder Highway. The owners also operate the Cannery in North Las Vegas.

The rooms would fall into the mid-range in terms of size and quality though on 2 of the 3 occasions we experienced problems with a dripping showerhead. The major difference between the regular and deluxe rooms is the latter has an extra set of floor to ceiling windows and a Jacuzzi. Rooms boast a flat screed TV and a small refrigerator. There is no swimming pool or parking garage. A senior rate is available by calling reservations.
