The Railhead is famous for its blues sessions that recently switched from Wednesday to Saturday nights. We used to attend every week while in Las Vegas, but the volume is often cranked up too loud.

Kixx Lounge offers karaoke on Friday nights.

Other entertainment options include a movie complex. Parents can drop off their children at Kids Quest.

I am totally confused why the Feast buffet is so popular. The buffet was remodeled a few years ago so we recently gave a try for breakfast. Unfortunately nothing changed in terms of preparation or service. The fruit selection was limited and unripe, the OJ watery and most of the items on the steam table were mediocre. The only redeeming feature was the buffet is currently priced cheap at $4.99 for slot card members. Rating of 1 on a scale of 1-5.

The Broiler is your typical locals’ steakhouse featuring an all you can eat salad bar with prices that seem high given the locals/retirees nature of their clientele. The current (August 2012) special is steamed (Maine) lobster, smoked sausage, red potatoes and drawn butter. There is also a $12.99 prime rib dinner being offered. The Broiler used to offer an excellent Sunday brunch but that has been discontinued.

I only play video poker so my comments a limited to that area. The casino offers a wide variety of full video poker games returning over 100% including FPDW, JW, DB, LDW and DDB. $4 equals 3 points on positive VP games for a return of 0.075% cash, comps or freeplay.
If you play the under 100% VP schedules, $1 Coin-In = 3 Points for a return of 0.30%.
Senior points on Wednesdays have been discontinued though periodically double (6 times) point days are advertised in the R-J and on its facebook page. I just noticed an ad in the RJ where double points will be offered to seniors on Wednesdays in August (2012) – swipe at the kiosk if you are a local, non locals have to go to the club booth.

We have stayed at Boulder Station a few times and visit to play video poker even when staying elsewhere. We have not stayed there since the rooms were renovated in late 2011, but they were previously very clean and tastefully decorated. This is the second oldest of the Station Casinos scattered across the valley.

Hotel - The rooms are of average size and quality and well maintained. The clientele is primarily locals, blue collar workers and retirees. The reason we no longer stay there is the excessive resort fee of the $12.99 per night. The pool sees few visitors as it is ridiculously small.
