I have been a member for years but also go to several other casinos in town. I have never been impressed with their service. Today I ate in their empire lounge and the service was a flop. They messed up my order and didn't bring me anything to drink at all. No one once came by my table to check us and I could not flag anyone down to get it right. When the waitress finally did come she didn't offer much help. She just blamed it on someone else and said she was very busy. The lady that checked me out asked if my meal was ok. I told her the problem and she said she was sorry. Why do they ask if they don't care. I tried to get online and complain when I got home, but they make it so difficult to complain I gave up. After going to this casino for years I have to say they are the worst managed in town. If coming to Reno or living in Reno I would find a better place than this one. Bottom rate casino. 1
Friendly, clean, and fun. My wife and I come here frequently and we always have a great time. We happily drive past closer options to get to Baldini's. Great payouts, Great food, Great shows and we always have fun.
Brought my wife here to try out a locals spot, and this is anything but. It was so much better before the new manager and it will be so much better after him. Until then, go to GSR. Baldini's has ruined one of what I thought would be my favorite spots.
My review of Baldinis casino in Sparks, NV stems from after the takeover of the fat and lazy casino manager, Barry. The food specials are all but gone. While the comps have increased, so have the prices, and there are definitely stipulations about what the comps are good for and when they're good. The payout of the slots at Baldinis in Sparks are some of the most awful in the Sierras. They had some extensive payouts the previous year, then took them well below the standards, but no one reports them to the gaming commission. In most cases, there are always dozens of broken machines, and unattentive slot attendants that are only there for a paycheck. Barry is a loser and kisses up to the 10 cent betters that have low-end player cards. This casino is a waste of time and money. Baldinis is officially the worst casino in Reno.
Please disregard all ratings except food. The only reason I have been to Baldini's is to eat at the Empire Diner, which I have done on multiple occasions and have always left with my expectations exceeded. If you come during their 2-for-1 specials, which is breakfast before 10 am or early dinner, you will probably pay less for your meal than you would in a third world country. (2 large breakfasts for $4.99!) Generally when I buy a cheap breakfast like that I'm expecting greasy eggs, white toast, and tater tots, but the food at the Empire is of a very high standard, and plenty of it too. It's a kid-friendly restaurant even though it is in the casino (close to the entrance). It's also a good place for dinner. The fried chicken is delicious and the salads are fresh.
