We used to frequent this casino years ago before the video poker pay schedules were slashed and slot club benefits diminished. Located on the Boulder Highway, Arizona Charlies’ (AC) nearest competitors are Sams Town, Eastside Cannery and Boulder Station. American Casino Entertainment, an investment vehicle of Carl Ichan, owns this property along with the Stratosphere and sister property AC (Decatur).

Hotel

We stayed a two nights at AC a few years ago and did not like the rooms. There are 3 buildings which were constructed as a long-term stay complex that I believe went into bankruptcy before ever opening. No resort fee was charged.

Our room was classified as a suite, but was probably of average size, just broken into a small sitting room and an equally small bedroom. There may have been a renovation since our stay, but at the time the furniture and carpeting were worn. Our room faced the parking lot nearest the casino and was quite noisy on the weekend. People staying here are on a budget. Amenities include a small pool.

Ok, here's my disclaimer right off the bat; I have never stayed in their hotel so I can't speak on it. We do however, go there every time we go to Las Vegas, mainly for their $2.99 ham & eggs or the $3.99 steak and eggs breakfast special. They're very good and available any time. AND...you can go up the covered garage to the top and final level which I believe is the 4th floor, and park on the west in right by a door the goes into the restaurant!

We have played slots there and they were ok. This is one of those places that has a substantial number of locals about any time you go, and a lot of older folks (like me?). My wife plays bingo and she played there once...it was about average.

So go there for the breakfast (any time!) and the rest, it's up to you.

When we went (4/11) there was no breakfast buffet - they really need to update this coupon. Website says breakfast buffet only on Friday and Saturday. We do like their buffet compared to similar ones - it is better than Terribles, Palace Station, and far better than AZ Charlies Boulder, and Sam's.

Did not stay in their rooms, only visited to play the slots. I won fairly often and left feeling I had fun and still kept my shirt.
