I was invited to stay in an Ambassador Suite by Boyd Gaming. At 730 sumptuous square feet, this sweet suite has room for everything you need and everything you didn’t know you needed to perfectly balance business and pleasure.

My wife and I are Pai Gow players but were turned off by the turtle like flow of the game at Aliante. The dealer shuffled the cards, then stacked the piles of seven cards in front of him and then passed the hands one at a time to all the players. It was boringly slow. It took over 7 minutes to play one hand.

We had dinner a MRKT. MRKT’s fresh fare includes filet mignon, and prime rib. The restaurant serves the most sumptuous salmon, lobster, scallops and crab in the business. For those who just can’t take a side, there’s always our classic Surf and Turf. I chose the Bone-In Ribeye which was remarkable.

Our meal was wonderful but their was a sports event on the TV and the restaurant staff paid more attention to the game then their dinner service.

I was very impressed with the Medley Buffet. In fact my wife and I had lunch and dinner their on the same day. The buffet features temptations from around the world. The six cooking stations are making exactly what you’re hungry for. Feel like you’re sizzling south of the border at the fajita station, featuring specialty chili and a salsa bar. Italian classics, BBQ favorites, and so much more you won’t find anywhere else make every meal an adventure at Medley Buffet.

The casino is an Old Timers delight. By that I mean they still have some slot machines that have been off other casino floors for many years. If you have a favorite slot machine and you can no longer find it, you just might find it at Aliante.

Aliante is a quiet casino far away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip. Aside from a few disappointments, we enjoyed our stay there.

We made the relatively long, boring drive to Aliante in order to visit the property and try the breakfast buffet. The casino/resort is beautiful, a miniature Red Rock Resort. The Medley buffet room was equally impressive - relatively large, bright and very clean. The price of the buffet is $8.99, but only $5.99 with a players card. We both started off with orange juice and fresh fruit. I kept it simple with 2 easy over eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes. Using the ACG 2/1 buffet coupon made this an excellent value though I doubt I will be returning soon primarily because of the remote location.

Love Aliante bingo room. All paper makes your odds of winning better and all nonsmoking lets you breathe while playing. Just wish there was one down here in Laughlin, Nv.

Our new favorite place to go once a month.. 2hrs from our home. LOVE the all paper and NO smoking BINGO..LOve the hotel packages with resort credit or movie tickets.. Love the sports book tv viewing area.. Needs a 24hr coffee shop and we would be in heaven..
