I've visited all the Tunica casinos and stayed at most of them. The Goldstrike is by far the best in Tunica. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The food at the buffet is always delicious. The slots pay well. The rooms are excellent. And everyone acts like they appreciate you being there. To me, that is one of the primary qualities of a good casino. If only we could do away with smoking in the casinos but I understand that all would have to do it in order not to be at a disadvantage. When Atlantic City went smokeless, people still came and I think the same would happen in Tunica. Personally, my biggest turn off is when someone is so rude as to sit down beside me and immediately pull out a cigarette. However, they do have a smoke free area and I certainly appreciate that. I admit I haven't been anywhere else in Tunica but I don't see any reason to go anywhere else. I like the faux fanciness of the hotel and the special treatment you get. It makes the down home feel of the gambling a nice change of pace. There are plenty of low min. table games. The dealers are nice but know what they are doing and it adds to the fun. I like that the video poker is upstairs away from the craziness of the main floor, I didn't like the paytables too much. It was relaxing to play up there. I only ate at the buffet, but again the food was so good and the selection so delightful that there was no reason for me to try anything else. It is really easy to get buffet comps too. No need to go elsewhere in Tunica for me.

We have been to casinos all over and this is the best one ever....!! All the staff go above and beyond..The food and rooms are super..And WOW..!!...The slot machines are the best...I hit a jackpot at least once every trip and one trip hit eight jackpots...!!...including one for 20,000

We had a good visit. Our first trip to Tunica so we can not compare to others in the area. GS is an Players Club/MGM hotel. Good service, nice people and a wide selection of slots.

I typically go to Vegas for my gambling vacations. I was passing through and decided to visit. I was happy and would consider coming back here instead of Vegas.

The Hotel does have some sort of weird draft issues and you can hear the air howl through the door of your room. The room is almost the exact same as the MGM room except decor. It has a lower rating because of the wind howling.

Has a good selection of slots & poker machines from 5 cents to $100.



Has a very good poker room that is on second landing, getting it away from the noise of the slots & people. Also good selection of table games.
