You would have better luck burning your money than playing slots here. I don't expect to win big every time or even win but I do expect to spend a few hours on couple hundred dollars. Other casinos I visit I'm up and down during the visits. At this casino it is always down, and I see other people lose too. Occasionally when you walk around a casino you can see a payout or two. I have never seen a payout here.
There are quite a few things that I enjoy about Gun Lake Casino - the Sand Hill Cafe, the beautiful interior of the casino including the new area (buffet), the slots, the friendliness of many of the workers. What I don't enjoy about the casino - of the last 9 times I've been to the casino including today, 8 of those times I've come out a loser. Only once did I come out ahead - $1. The other 8 times I lost anywhere between $1 and $600 each time. I played Blackjack most of those times, and each time I lost between $140 and $600 each time. Now I consider myself a really good Blackjack player and practice perfect Basic Strategy while playing. At home I practice each day and come out ahead at least an average number of times (4/10 times) or more. Why do I seem to lose most of the time when I come to GLC? I don't think that the casino is cheating or anything. It's just odd how I can't seem to win very often there.
My wife and I have been going here since they opened. They are finally starting to pay us back. We used to go in and be out of money within an hour. Now I can go sit at the 3 card table on $80 and leave with $900. The food really is great. I eat at sandhill every chance I get. Yeah the service is slow but we kind of like it that way. Gives us more time to chat. Bob the pit boss is kind of a dick and doesn't laugh with the patrons. It's like he tries to bring down your fun.... I feel like the new addition will bring me back to reality and I will start losing again.
