Had a great time a the Coushatta casino and resort on my wife birthday it is the best casino in Louisiana we always have a great time when we visit 

Coushatta has always been my favorite casino.  The gaming floor and number of slots simply can't be beat.  We just returned from Vegas and all that I could think about is "I miss LA".  Unfortunately, the slots are the tightest that I've ever seen them.  I go approximately once a month and if you talk to any of the regulars they will tell you the same thing.  Hand payouts are becoming a rarity.  The days of seeing and hearing people screaming and jumping up from a win have diminished greatly. I have to assume that it is because of the plunge in the oil industry.  Most of the HD machines are empty so revenues must be falling.  We will have to start cutting our number of trips down significantly.  Most of the regulars say they are cutting back as well.  We all know the casino is going to win and must turn a profit.  BUT as customers we can only lose so many times in a row.  Hopefully things will return in years to come?  2 of 3 of the hotels are outstanding (Inn needs to be refurbished). Food and comps are always top notch as are the comps.

I have been coming to coushatta for at least 12 yrs.now.  I love this place. I've been to casinos all over the United states but coushatta is still my favorite! First the slots are usually hot. You can actually win a lot here. In 2016 it seems as there are a lot of winners. Next their comps are the best! If you go back broke you won't go back hungry! Comps add up super fast at coushatta compared to lake Charles casinos. Next they are very generous in comping you a room. This is my favorite part. I have a bad hip nerve trouble etc. And as I usually come on a bus it gives me time to rest up in between. All in all Coushatta is exactly as they advertise "Louisiana' s best bet in my book. Visit them and you won't be disappointed! Also the staff is super nice and food usually delicious!
