Please, please be advised that this is the WORST casino in the New Orleans area. It is filthy. You can get better food out of a gas station. I have NEVER seen so many people lose money like they do at Boomtown. If you want a good gaming experience, you will need to visit the Mississippi Gulf Coast or try Harrah's downtown. The Boomtown caters to local customers. Their customer service is the pits. If a machine jams, you can expect a wait of 10 to 20 minutes to be serviced. It is simply put, "Come to the Boomtown and Lose Your Money". What a horrible, horrible, horrible place to spend any time in. And as I said before, if you are inclined to visit, eat before you come or plan on going out to eat afterwards. The food is the pits!!!! As a second thought, I wonder if they are going bankrupt? The last time I was there, it seemed to be less and less people working. That would explain the rotten food and no customer service.

Casino is close to the house and my wife and I go from time to time. Slots are real tight, table games are alright-a little on the tight side, cocktail service is really poor and the food is alright. For the casino being located in the New Orleans area, the food is actually bad but for visitors from other states that aren't use to flavored food (spicy), you will enjoy it. Over all, I would recommend you deal with the traffic and go to Harrah's New Orleans or take the ride to Kenner to Treasure Chest Casino. Harrah's is your best bet if you don't want to walk in and walk out.

My mom and I went to gamble for a couple of hours on Memorial Day.  We usually have a great time. Today, the slots were so tight that we could not win 50 cents. All they have are the new slots which is a penny but you need to pay over 100 pennies to play. Then, we went to the buffet. The food was terrible. It cost 36.00. We could have had a great meal with left overs for that price. Will not eat there again.
