We go at least once a year. It is the best as far as friendliness and clean. Can't say much for winning, but you can't always count on that. We are going in a couple of weeks with a bus group. Really looking forward to it. Has really improved although we always did like it.

In reading the other reviews, those people haven't been there lately. They serve liquor. Rooms are spotless. Everyone working there is most helpful. They go out of their way to help. Food vastly improved. New games everywhere. Live entertainment on weekends- free. More improvements being made. Place is always hopping when we've been there. Will go back without a doubt as regular even though we have to travel a distance to get there. Usually bring home good amount of money we took or more. If your machine isn't winning, stop beating a dead horse! Many, many more machines to choose from!

My wife and I play in casinos all over the U.S and I can say in all honesty we found the lousiest one in North America by far. Staff was horrible, food was low grade, slots didn't cough up a dime on $500 and the dealers didn't want to seem to be bothered. Stay away from this place. If you're looking for fun and a good time set your money on fire in the parking lot because you wont find a good time here.

I miss Mskwaki. I live in black hawk county but have done most of my gambling in tama always had a great time would be there for hours the employees were helpful food was good slots paid well. I would spend alot but also won alot.

We have the isle in waterloo but i still prefered tama. The last year has been a different story, however, now i go to the isle because i havent won enough to even play for a hour on 300 dollars.

It is not as clean, not as nice, I'm so dissapointed i wish you had stayed small you are like the indian casinos in minnesota now big and empty. Even your best patrons are going to the isle. You really screwed up! You were the best place in iowa - now the worst!

So sad. A lot of us miss the old tama please do something to draw us back: loosen up, clean up, and make patrons feel welcome.

The playing action of this casino has really gone downhill! What in the world happened? Many of the large progressive jackpots have been eliminated, or downsized. For example, the dollar version of Sizzling Sevens with a progressive jackpot of $3000 has been downsized to quarter version and starting jackpot of $250. Monopoly has been eliminated. Wizard of Oz has been downsized from four machines to two. The 10 times pay nickel game with its multi-thousand jackpot has been removed. If you are looking for high paying progressives, you will have to visit the High Limit Room now.

Many of the games are simply outdated. They have an over abundance of first generation video poker machines. Popular games such as Zeus and Jungle Wild are limited to two machines each, in the whole building. You are NOT going to find any new games such as WMS's Hot Hot Super Respin Series (Zeus II, Palace of Riches III, Hearts of Venice... etc). You are NOT going to find Jungle Wild II. They do however have the new video QuickPick Progressive slots.

They do have a variety of slots, but as I stated, many of these are older games. The machines could use a good cleaning. Some of the buttons do not work. Many of the games have issues accepting cash and tickets.

The overall playing action is tight. There used to be a time when I could go to Meskwaki with $300 and have it last for many hours. Many times I could bring money home. This is no longer the case for me.

I tend to go to the casino late at night. There used to be quite a crowd, even overnight. Now there are only a few cars in the parking lot at night. Perhaps it's the poor economy. Perhaps it's because gamblers are going elsewhere.
