This is a good place to play. The machines pay back a decent percentage (I thought I read once they pay the highest percentage east of the Mississippi, but I could be mistaken). I usually do well. Plus since they don't have a hotel, the discretionary comps rack up at a decent pace. Most of the dealers are nicer than those in Atlantic City. They don't have the lose half when a zero comes up when you bet on colors or even/odd like they do in Atlantic City. And an excellent plus, NO SMOKING. They also have football parlay bets during football season.

First of all, let me say that I didn't start off trying to get here. I was driving to Borgata when I saw the sign that said exit at 4B for Delaware Park Casino. It was late and I decided on the spur of the moment, why not check it out instead of driving another 90 minutes or so to Borgata. If the place was bad, I could continue on my way and lose only a few minutes. I walked in and it wasn't exactly Atlantic City in scale but I saw some table games. I play table games, and strictly table games. I don't like slots. So, I sit down on one of the blackjack tables, with $25 min bet. I did relatively well at the table, but I didn't like the fact that the cards were constantly shuffled by a machine with no end to the shoe. So, after some ups and down, I decided to take my game to the high roller area, which was not that big of an area and for a high roller area the min bet was very low. $50 minimum bet blackjack table and $100 minimum bet blackjack table. I also found out that if you are playing at the high roller table, they bring you food to eat while you are playing right at the table. I was pleasantly surprised by this turn of events. I ordered some nice chili plus philly cheesesteak. I had the drink girl bring me a bottle of water and red bull constantly. When the night was over, I was up few thousand, even after tipping the dealer at least thousand and drink girl at least three hundred. They really know how to take care of you, if you are a good player, good person and there to have fun without making a scene. I will definitely go back as soon as I can.

As a pro craps player, I have a feature on my website where I rate the craps and provide a profile of all of the offerings for a multitude of casinos. Here's a brief synopsis for craps players who want to come to delaware park.

They've got 4 craps tables, usually on the first floor. They usually have 2 open, except for when it gets crowded, then all 4 will open. Limits range from $10 to $25 at peak hours. However, someone commented on my site that they found it at $5 on a monday night late one time recently.

They offer 5x odds, which isn't the absolute best, but its better than the 3x4x5 odds offered at Dover Downs.

Also, the casino is smoke free, which is a plus at the craps table, as you're facing everyone, essentially, and if one person smokes they cannot avoid but to blow the smoke into your direction.

They have experienced dealers who are friendly and know the game very well.

Overall the rest of the casino is great. If i'm not playing craps, I'm playing poker. They have a huge poker room and a poker tournament room, which they are expanding both to complement the high demand.

My business takes me to the area every once in a while and I used to go to AC but when I found out they added table games I decided to give DRP a try. I was impressed with the overall attitude of the staff and the dealers. Some of the dealers lack experience but they don't seem to get uptight when you correct them. The poker room is nice and the wait to get on a table was not too long. The only thing I missed was they did not have a buffet. The restaurants were good and the prices were OK, but eating at a buffet has always been part of the gambling experience for me and I missed it. The slots seemed about normal (It took some time for me to lose my money - but I always lose if I play long enough). The thing I liked the most was that the table limits were normal... $10 blackjack... $5 3-card poker. I do agree that the parking needs to be improved. They should move the valet parking across the road and open the entire front lot to self parking. I not have a place to go without the long drive and I will keep coming back.

The food was suprisingly good, plus with the players card you can take your points and get a discount on the food.

The promotion is also nice. Right now you get $50? after you play for the first half hour, then another $50 the following day. I can't say just yet if the slots are super tight, I did win my bankroll back but blew it, left before hitting scared money point.

Seems like they are fair there though, did notice quite a few jackpot winners (naturally not me, the RNG didnt like me there) and not just on low payout slots.

They have all the virtual table games there, but I didn't seem to notice any video poker games (I prefer odds that are much better than slots). As stated on here the place is very clean and modern, but like other DE casinos, fairly small.

The only downside is the parking is atrocious. Why they didn't put a parking garage in baffles me. You either take a bus or walk a 1/4mile. We walked because by the time the bus would have come around we would have been in the casino.

The other downside for Western MD people is it takes about $20 for tolls. And if there is a high roller section I sure couldnt find it (again, I prefer? odds that are better, so much at stake). Good place to relax for a few hours and maybe win your bankroll back.
