Native American Casinos in Washington State
All casinos in Washington are affiliated with Native American Tribes. These Indian casinos have compacts with the state allowing them to offer live table games, as well as electronic ‘scratch’ ticket games. These electronic ticket games use a finite number of tickets and have a predetermined number of winners and losers. These electronic ticket gaming machines have a maximum bet of $20.
Washington gaming laws do not require Native American casinos to release information on their slot machine percentage paybacks to the public. However, according to the compact struck between the Tribes and the state, the electronic ‘scratch’ ticket games must have a minimum prize payout of 75%.
Washington gaming laws do not require casinos on Native American reservations to make the payback percentages on their gaming machines public. Many other states, however, do make the payback percentages of their electronic casino games a matter of public record.
