Every time I have been to this casino, I have lost everything I had to gamble there, every other person I talked to while there; complained about the same thing, no matter haw long or how much you play; the outcome will be the same; you'll lose, many people told me the casino used to be much better but has been horrible for the past several months and nobody seems to win, of course I confirmed this by myself after spending three days there, sure the service is alright, the food is decent and the hotel rooms are decent too but it all comes at a very high price, you simply don't have a chance; I remember in other instances long ago; getting a bonus on a slot was almost guarantee that you'll get at least a little something, now while betting the max ($4.00) on my favorite slot got the bonus a few times, sometimes even to retrigger more than once and only won $10 or $20 after so many bonus runs betting the max, their machines are a joke and absolutely ripoffs so it is time to stop going there for good, it's an absolute waste of time and money, I really wonder if there is a regulating agency that checks on these casinos, they simply seem to get away with stealing people's money, of course nobody is forcing us to go there but I have decided to STOP voluntarily giving them my hard earned bucks for NO CHANCE AT ALL to ever win at least to end up close to even. I think they will lose many customers eventually.

It appears this casino is trying to recoup the millions they spent in their air filtration system they recently installed, slot machines are awfully tight, simply nobody wins, it is becoming obvious people are realizing the fact that this casino no longer offers a chance no matter how much you spend gambling there, the casino doesn't seem to care much about losing customers so their greed will eventually have an impact on their business which they have made into taking as much money from patrons as possible and there will be a time when they will have to meet the same faith as Santa Ysabel, this is unfortunate but they will eventually go bankrupt as they are scaring people away from their casino, too bad, it used to be a better choice but no longer is, good luck on their future bankruptcy, I am just so sorry about the many employees that will be affected but Barona is a ripoff.

Barona claims to be the happiest casino on earth, indeed the casino itself must be really happy taking everyone's money. I have to add however that their service is pretty good, most all employees and management are very nice and helpful, food is really good and the rooms are nice and clean, overall the service part is very good so it appears Barona bets on service to keep attracting patrons to lose all their money there because the slots are super tight no matter which ones you play or how you play them or how much money you put into them. I was there (again) on Jan 24-25-26 and played different slots for very long periods of time with the same results: Lost very time, so I checked their web site where they advertise the winners and guess what? There were no winners between Jan 23 and 28 (6 days without a winner) that says it all and despite their good service, food, comps and rooms, I am going elsewhere. I could stay at a much better hotel, eat much better food, go to the movies, even buy a present to my wife and other things and still have money left with what I have been spending and losing at Barona with no hope of ever winning or even walking out even. So I have just joined Pechanga which is even one hour closer to where I live and they advertise jackpots of over one million every day so the chances there may be much better. Barona is just not what it used to be, Good bye Barona, Hello Pechanga.

Well, indeed this casino used to be the best in the San Diego area and beyond but that is definitely no longer the case, food, hotel and service parts are still very good but the main thing which is the gambling part is absolutely a fraud, their slot machines are so money hungry that you just don't have a chance, of course not everyone will win at this or any other casino but the way it is now at Barona really shows something has "changed" isn't there a regulating agency, state or federal that overlooks compliance of the regulation (if any) on gambling in the state of California? If there is such an agency; perhaps they should go by this casino and double check on their practices, I was there Friday and Saturday and everyone was losing their money, I played for very long periods of time both days and most every spin on every slot I played was a losing one, everyone was complaining about how tight the machines are, I wonder if they've been "adjusted" to lower the returns and keep everyone's money, I used to drive 4 plus hours to go there but I am convinced this place doesn't offer any better chances than the casinos closer to where I live, in fact I think I'll save one hour drive and go to Pechanga instead, it's time to try a different place now that Barona is just one of the bunch. Hey gaming regulators, again; it won't hurt to check on these guys, perhaps they're in compliance but in that case the regulation is not fair to people who gamble and allows all advantage to the casinos, perhaps it's time for a change? Now if they're not in compliance, do your job.

Amazing, how so many people during my last visit this past Friday; were commenting and complaining how tight the slot machines are at this place now, simply and out of the blue, people started a conversation while playing slots and even at the parking lot, all saying similar things: This place is not what it used to be, at least in the past it used to pay a little but now, they don't pay at all, the frustration in people was so obvious, I wonder if the casino owners and upper management realize how bad this will be for their business, like myself, I am sure most people get tired of losing in every visit and quite honestly, if anyone dreams of winning big or winning at all at this place, I think they're delusional and are up for a rude awakening, my best advice is if you can't help it, at least only take a very limited amount of money and leave your ATM card at home, the odds are absolutely against players and overwhelmingly in favor of the casino, of course it is a business and either way most people will lose at this and any other casino but the apparent tightening of the slot machines is way too obvious, their greed will cause them to lose many, many customers, too bad, this truly used to be a better casino, at least used to be better than all in the area but now it's just one of many so makes no difference which casino you go to in the San Diego area, more than likely you'll lose your cash if you decide to go there to gamble you hard earned bucks. For me, my friends and relatives who like gambling, the drive all the way from Bakersfield is not worth it, way too long a drive for a guaranteed loss of our money.
