If you’re an avid slots player, you might be wondering why you’d need to maximize your enjoyment. After all, slots games are inherently enjoyable – that’s the whole point of them, isn’t it?

Yes, but there’s a lot more to it than that. The difference between a good slots session and a truly phenomenal one comes down to prep and thinking about your comfort… and in a world where “me time” is so precious, it’s really important to maximize every second you get. So, let’s figure out how you can have the best possible time when you next head to an online slots casino for a gaming session!

Set Up Your Seating

Maybe you just plop down on the couch when you’re ready to unwind for a little while and open a slots casino? Yes, that might feel easy, but you’re doing yourself a big disservice if this is your modus operandi! Instead, take a few extra minutes to get yourself comfy.

If you’re going to be settling in for a decent session, you should consider a seat that offers good lumbar support and will encourage better posture. This will mean that you feel comfortable throughout the whole gaming experience, and that you won’t be dealing with a cricked neck or a stiff back when you’ve finished. Given that many adults spend 8 hours per day or more seated, taking a few minutes to make sure you’re actually comfortable is super important.

Get yourself settled in a good gaming chair with cushions to support yourself, and you’ll find that the whole session is that much more enjoyable. No more getting distracted from a great spin by a stiff knee or pins and needles!

Think About The Lights

Again, lights are something few of us put much conscious thought into. After all, your screen provides light so how much do the lights in the room matter? However, this is significant! Having a well-lit room will reduce eye strain and make the whole session feel more comfortable, letting you play for longer.

That doesn’t mean you need glaring spotlights, though. You can opt for a soft lamp or some RGB lights, which will give you maximum control and customization options. You can turn the brightness up or down and even pick a color that suits your mood. If you’re planning an intense, high-energy slots session, you might go for a vibrant color like red or orange. If you’re feeling a more mellow, relaxed night, you could go for blue or soft purple.

Alternatively, create a theme that feels in keeping with the game you’re playing. Maybe you want a nice, alien green for a game like Vegas Space Heist – it’s the perfect way to set the scene.

Build In Breaks

There’s nothing quite as satisfying as knowing you’ve got a whole evening of gaming fun ahead of you in which to relax, with no other responsibilities or interruptions. However, great as that may feel, you should make sure you build in some breaks… and if you’re someone who tends to get absorbed and lose track of time, set yourself a timer.

Ideally, you should take a break from your screen every 20 minutes to stretch, move around, and rest your eyes. And the good news here is that slot machines are ideal for these micro breaks; because they can be played in short sessions and they are easy to dip in and out of, you’re not likely to end up feeling ill after staring at a screen for 6 hours straight!

Bring On The Snacks

Last, but very much not least, what are you doing to stave off hunger and thirst during your play session? Having this set up in advance is a great way to mentally check off the “sort out food” chore, letting you relax more. It also reduces the chance of you going for exclusively unhealthy snacks. There’s nothing wrong with having some chips or candy during your relaxation time, but you might also want to put something more substantial together.

Easy-to-eat, non-greasy foods tend to be best for gaming sessions. Think about sandwiches, boiled eggs, sliced veggies and hummus, or some dried fruit. This will help you fill up on the good stuff, and then you can fully enjoy your less healthy options guilt-free!

Of course, you should think about drinks too. If it’s winter, why not spoil yourself with a hot cocoa with all the toppings? Alternatively, for a summer gaming session, consider an iced coffee or a glass of sparkling water with some of your favorite fruit. Hydration matters for a long evening, so make sure you’ve got a drink handy, whatever you decide to opt for! You’ll find your gaming session much more enjoyable if you give your body the fuel it needs.
