I've been a few times since their opening (Feb 2017). Now I will only go to burn free play only if I am on my way going somewhere else. First, the good. You can order drinks from any slot machine. When it's busy, it might take a long time to get your drink (once it took them 30 minutes to get mine). The bathrooms are clean. The buffet is passable. Now, the bad. Promotions. Promotions are poorly communicated, with only minimal information about them available on their website. A few times I was misled by one of their promotions due to either the lack of detail, or misleading information. Perhaps they don't have an experienced person in charge of promotions yet, but they really need to start doing them correctly if they want to compete well. Free play. Their freeplay offering to me is about half that of their biggest competitor. It's simply not worth the drive (why I will only play there if I am on my way going somewhere else). Slot Payouts. Their payout percentage is publicly available on the NY State Gaming Commission website. As of writing this review, they are the second lowest in the state among state regulated casinos. This also is reflected by my own experience going there. Rarely have I been able to escape losing whatever money I've brought with me. Everyone's experience in this regard will vary... sometimes you may get lucky. But the odds are always stacked against you (it's how casinos make money). Having the second lowest payout in the state is a bit shameful considering the tax break they received from the governor. The fun. In sum, there isn't much. No dance club, as far as I know. One music venue, which many people have reported have very poor acoustics. The hotel just opened up, but why would you stay there? It's puzzling. Conclusion: It almost seems as if the casino were thrown together as a rush job without adequate expertise overseeing it's success. Perhaps in time, these issues will be corrected and this place will feel more like a real casino. Right now, it does not.
