I LOVE THIS PLACE! Just got back from my second trip to South Point (July 15-17, 2009) As good as it gets without being a millionaire!

Great Prime Rib Everywhere! Prime rib buffet Wednesday nights: Seafood buffet on Friday nights (Prime rib too!!) Comps for the buffets.

A great room cheap! Free booze while playing! $5 blackjack tables with nice dealers. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT?

A nice place to play and eat. The staff is polite and the service is good. Bingo parlor is the best! We won a few times and we always go back to South Point everytime we go to Vegas even though they are situated a bit far from the strip.

Every year my wife and I go to Vegas. We always stayed at 3 hotels over a week to try new ones each year. Since 2006, we always make a stop at South Point from 3-5 days of the week. We still try other hotels out, but mostly to get a Jacuzzi room.

We enjoy everything about this casino; we feel very comfortable in the rooms. Always nice and clean. We love having the movies there to take a couple hours off from walking/gaming. They have a nice bowling alley also which we have visited, but never played at. I enjoy playing poker there, but they need to have a separate room for it, but it isn't a deal breaker.

The slot club and gaming is very good also. The only suggestions I would have is to have an option for a Jacuzzi room at a reasonable rate like the Stratosphere does or sometimes the deals they offer with jacuzzi at MGM, Excalibur or Luxor. The other suggestion would be to make the buffet better as it isn't up to the likes of other local favorites like Orleans, Gold Coast, or even Silverton. We will continue to stay here on each trip. We just booked 4 nights for May with other days at Stratosphere in a jacuzzi room.

My wife and I spent 2 weeks at the South Point last year. The staff and hotel was excellent and the price of the room was very good. The room we had faced Las Vegas Blvd. and the view was great, you could see all of the way across the valley. We like the South Point because of the various types and quantity of video poker machines. We think they have the most in Las Vegas.

We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone that is going to stay in Vegas. Although it is on the southern end of the strip, it's more relaxing than being on the strip. No hassle with people or traffic.

The South Point Hotel & Casino may be out of the way for most people, at the far, far south end of town, but it is well worth the trip. Unlike many other casino bean-counters, Michael Gaughan is not afraid to offer his patrons good games, delightful dining at a good price, good player promotions, and of course a beautiful hotel.

When most other casinos are constantly lowering their quality of video poker, the South Point has put forth a full selection of top paying VP games, welcoming players at all levels. A real breath of fresh air, much like Benny Binion always wanting to make sure he gave the players a square deal, instead of trying to pick their pockets.

Make the trip ... you'll be glad you did !
