Ok, here's the deal: we were driving by Skyline and saw an incredible special for dinner so we stopped. If you look up "local casino" in the dictionary, I'm sure you will see a picture of this place. It has no hotel, it's purely a local hangout. Not fancy at all, this place is not for the faint of heart. If you love places like Mandalay Bay and Bellagio, you'll hate Skyline. It's smokey, has low ceilings, and has mostly slots and a few tables. But if you want character, this might be a fun place to stop.

The steak special was about $6 each for a 18 ounce T-bone. We got in line and realized we'd have to wait a while, they told us about 45 minutes...so we started playing video poker. Sitting next to me was a scruffy looking guy who was playing two machines as fast as lightening. He was very "blue collar" with long, stringy hair and looked like hadn't shaved in 3 months. He and I started talking and his name was "Tuffy". When I told Tuffy we were waiting for a table he said "Well, they know me here, let me see what I can do!". He got up, went to the hostess, then they called out name next! We got such a kick out of it. This Tuffy guy who looked like he may have just been paroled, had the "juice" around that place and got us our seat.

And the T-bone steak dinner was great. It was a fun experience all the way around. So if you ever go to Skyline, try to find Tuffy. You'll get the best service!
