My wife and I visited the Hyatt casino with frieds who own a time share condo next store. We all played slots and I tried blackjack for nearly the first time (played a little in Las Vegas several years ago). The casino is clean, well lit (a little dark outside) and, though smoking is allowed, the air was pretty good. We did okay on the slots with enough payout to keep things interesting. I worked up enough courage to play blackjack in the morning at an empty table. The least expensive table was $10 minimum - which seemed like a lot to me but as I gained confidence in my play I was able to relax a bit with the chips. The dealer and pit boss were both very helpful and showed me the correct way to do things and helped me with strategy. We spent a week there and I played at an empty table most mornings. In the evening, I played with others at the table and all seemed to be fairly patient with my somewhat slow and bumpy betting. By the end of the week I was playing fairly well and smoothly. We played at other casinos around Lake Tahoe and Reno and now I really enjoy playing blackjack more than slots as it's more social and makes/allows you to think as you play.

As I stated above the casino was clean and the air was good. The restaurants were good, though maybe not great. I don't think I ate at all of them. The buffet was good although I don't really prefer ordering off a menu. The Lake Tahoe area is splendid and we enjoyed driving around and seeing the sights during the day. Lots of hiking trails around. I'll never go there again without a fly rod. The Truckee River is still calling my name.
