Tired of the young and beautiful at the Palms? Find that the Rio is now just like any other Harrah's hotel and casino? Then walk across the street to the Gold Coast. Sit at the bar and mention the drink deals that are promoted outside and have the bartender go "huh?....we got rid of that promotion months ago". Try the cheap buffet and experience the joys of a cheap vegas buffet. The crowd ain't beautiful, even if you sit at the bar for a whole bunch of drinks, but the place isn't trying to be anything than it is...a cheap choice to the hotels that surround it. Not worth the walk from the strip, or a cab ride, but if you are at the Palms or Rio, and you can't get into whatever the latest trendy club is, come to the Gold Coast where there is always room at the bar, the tables or the buffet.
